I agree he probably would have lost anyways, but I guess part of me was just holding out hope for the massive upset. Might as well pull out all the tricks at that point, you've got nothing to lose.
He's still young, he'll learn all the little nuances in the pro game sooner than later. He definitely has a bright future. Hard to believe he's only 21.

Being a fan of both players I would have been happy either way, which is rare. Fed has a way of dismantling big guys that have missile serves and forehands, I actually think Milos would match up better against Rafa on hard courts.
Even in in its developing state I like Milos' game better than Delpo's...not afraid to come to the net and has shown willingness to improve his mobility. It sucks for anyone ranked 4th and down to be playing in this era of the 3 greatest, but he's young enough that the window will open up in the next few years.

I thought the commentators were very impressed with Milos. They called it the best match of the tournament.

After the Raonic-Federer match last night, Wozniacki lost to Ivanovic.
Woz has really fallen off the map, will be down to #6.

I liked her from when she was just starting out, all the way up to this year's AO because of her fun personality and looks (no I didn't care about the supposed five-head) and also her tenacity in rallies. Now I can't stand her cause she thinks doing the same thing forever will eventually get her a slam. You had a coach that tried to grow your game, but then fired him after 2 months cause you and daddy didn't want him shaking things up?
People who complain about the Flames organization being stagnant, I present to you Caroline Wozniacki. You don't even have to bring up that overused Einstein definition of insanity quote...just say "Woz" instead.

An interesting result came by my ticket today.
Dallas Challenger
(Q)Frank Dancevic (CRO) d. (1)Marin Cilic (HRV) 7-6 (7-5) 7-6 (7-5)
WOW! Cilic is 23 in the world!!
Frank had to qualify for this tournament so he's won 5 matches in a row to get to the semis.

Isner just defeated Djokovic at Indian Wells in an excellent match
7-6, 3-6, 7-6.
Isner's really improved this year with a win over Federer in Davis Cup and now this. He's now in the top 10 and a really scary opponent if his game is complete.
Nadal vs Federer next!

just finished the replay of Fedal...wow what a refreshing change from the usual mind numbing Nadal forehand blasting Fed backhand. this time Fed not only had a game plan but managed to stick with it for most of a match. Usually if he starts getting into trouble against Rafa he forgets any strategy and quickly gives up the ghost. That 2nd last point at 30 all was probably one of the top 3 gutsiest I've ever seen Fed play.
And speaking of strategy, Isner executed almost perfectly today too. should be interesting to see tomorrow if Roger can avenge his sad Davis cup loss.

Dancevic wins in Dallas!
He beats Andreev 76 63 and jumps 43 places in the rankings from 175 to 132.
He has no time to celebrate, immediately on a plane to play in ATP 1000 Miami qualifying tomorrow!

Has Federer really upped his game lately? Maybe it's just me, but he's different somehow. More confident and this has been an impressive resurgence.

he never seems to talk about specifics (e.g. like Nadal does about his grip or swing changes), but it's probably a lot of little things him and Annacone have been working on the past year. one weird thing I noticed recently is his forehand follow through is often around his head like Nadal's...it used to always be across his chest. I dunno, an attempt at getting more topspin and reducing errors? anyways he might actually be playing better now than 5 years ago; the competition's just way tougher now so the results aren't always there.

Dancevic gets Mello today in Miami qualifying.. should be easy.
Surprisingly he's the only Canadian in qualfying. All other Canadians, including Pospisil are in Rimouski. Pospisil looking for some easy points perhaps?

The one I'll be keeping track of is the young 18 year old Felip Peliwo, the Australian Open Boys Finalist

Sorry for this being a little bit off topic. I'm heading over to Europe in June, and I was wondering if there is a way to see which events a player will be competing in? I realize some guys take the tournament off before a slam as I'll be leaving a few days before Wimbledon, anybody know the big tournament around that time? Seems to be 4 scattered from England to Germany.

Yup there are 4 you see in the schedule.
Gerry Weber (Germany) June 11 - June 17
http://www.gerryweber-open.de/gwo_en/Players/Single
Nadal, Federer, Berdych, Monfils, Nishikori, Mayer, Dogopolov, Troicki, Raonic, Tomic
That looks like a great one.
Queens (AGEON Championships) (England) June 11-17
http://www.lta.org.uk/fans-major-eve...Championships/
Muray, Tsonga, Del Porto, Hewwit so far
The two tournaments right before Wimbledon don't have commitments yet but always check their official website for news.
