On topic, these rankings are pointless. They have no meaning whatsoever, just like the TSN Power Rankings.

No need to worry. I promise not to post anymore rankings until after the final game in March.

Notorious Badger is posting in this thread with a new name. I believe it was MMF or someone else that outed him, as he had made the exact same comment on a youtube video (with a youtube handle that was one of Notoriousbadgers past CP handles), as he made in the funny picture thread where the youtube video was posted.

Why not just stop now? Since it is clear that no one—not even your fellow Jets fans on this board—has any interest in following this thread. Why don't you just keep a tally at home, without posting it? That way, you can updated and check it every single day without bothering anyone else.

If it upsets you so much, then don't read it. You strike me as a very lonely man, who is full of resentment and anger.

It doesn't upset me in the least. But I would be lying if I said I did not find this thread irritating. People will quite often open threads that they think are idiotic, if for no better reason than to watch a train-wreck in action.
This is something of a double-edged sword here. On the one hand, you are correct in that posters here are free to ignore whatever threads hold no interest for them. But here is the other side of that reality: Part of our responsibility as moderators is to maintain the quality of the board, and I do not believe that you have provided significant enough justification for the continuation of this thread, on the following grounds:
1. It seems to be of little or no interest to anyone else on this board, including other Jets fans. A brief perusal of its contents will reveal that you are the only poster updating the thread, and the vast majority of other responses consist of complaints or sheer nonsense, prompted by the inanity of its contents.
2. It is a rather functionless thread. You will notice that there are not regular updates of the NHL standings, the Conference or even Division races on this site. Primarily because this information is both readily and easily accessible from a wide range of alternative sites. If posters were really interested in tracking the Canadian franchises' records relative to one another, this is also quite simply achieved by merely clicking the "League Standings" option at NHL.com, and employing their own visual filter to isolate only those teams who happen to be located in Canada, but half of whom do not play one another at all this season, and would never meet outside of the Stanley Cup Finals. The "Canadian Standings" is entire artificial and utterly pointless.
3. This thread is now over 17 months old, and would happily have disappeared many months ago had you not decided to resurrect it.
It bears wondering what sort of contribution this thread makes to the board, and if it is deemed to be little more than needless clutter amid a very busy forum, then it probably should be closed.

As for you personal observation about my own character and persona, why the hell would you imagine such a thing, and so what?
You strike me as a man wearing a bouffant wig, with a carrot for a nose, and who cries like an infant during reruns of Gilmore Girls...
Does anyone really care what I think about you? Do you? Reciprocally why should anyone—present company included—have any interest in your opinion about me, or anyone else for that matter?

The Cdns Teams by the end of the season.
1. Montreal- 5th in the East
2. Calgary- 3rd in the West 1 point ahead of the Canucks.
3. Vancouver- out of playoffs. 9th because they lose to the Oilers in the final game of the season
4. Ottawa- out of playoffs. Who cares.
5. Winnipeg- out of playoffs. Who cares.
6. Toronot- out of playoffs. But Phaneuf is still God.
7. Special Oilers - 28th ahead of the Sabres and Panthers but WIN the lottery!

Don't worry. Since you love this thread so much, I will update it again on March 31, 2013. Reading your rebuttal (which must have taken 10 minutes to come up with), has convinced me that you are using reverse psychology, and actually want me to post on this thread every day.

Pass whatever your smoking. We won't finish in the playoffs, Vancouver will win the NW, and all canadian teams of the East will make the playoffs. We'll be battling the Oilers for Mackinnon.

It is kind of funny seeing everyone predicting the Senators to finish last (some even saying dead last in the league) and having them finish behind only Vancouver last year.
