Tsitsipas takes a long break (probably close to 8 minutes) after a 23 minute first set and receives a smattering of boos from the crowd upon his return.
I think we passed that point a long time ago. I guess she might go on a 6 week run and win another major at some point, maybe a couple, but there's no stretch of time coming where she's the clear best player in the world or anything.
I also don't like the fact that she's seeming to be slowly going down the same road as Bouchard with the off court marketing going up and up.
This is undoubtedly taking some of her focus off training, fitness etc. and if even miniscule, could make a huge difference in her being an occasional threat to consistent number 1.

Like I say I don't think there's much chance of her being a consistent number 1, and if she's going to be hurt all the time it makes sense for her to try to cash in on those marketing opportunities while she still has credibility as a player.

I mean, if you're that drained from the heat, just retire rather than putting on the whole song and dance of trying to save energy once the match resumes.

I'm not sure if it's related but Nadal seemed to do way more ads and marketing during the 2015/2016 season which were his two worst on tour. That's when we got his famous Tommy Hilfiger underwear ad...... although who would buy underwear that Nadal endorsed he's got a wedgie every two minutes
Medvedev is acting like this tournament is completely unimportant to him. Getting wrecked by Hurkacz and does not appear to care.

Does anyone know if Genie has unofficially retired? I see she's doing commentary for tennis channel now, this would be a great post playing career for her.

Looks good, I'll probably watch lol. If you could make any movie about tennis; either a career or a specific match what would you choose? I'm going with 2008 Wimbledon final
