Is "Your Honor" any good? I like Bryan Cranston and I've been seeing ads for it.
I watched the first season and it was pretty dumb. I recall liking the first couple episodes but hating the way the logic fell apart as the story unfolded.

Late to the party, but Schitt's Creek -- when does it get good? Did the first two episodes yesterday and me and the GF are both still on the fence. A couple laughs so far, but some very unlikable characters so far (which can be ok, but we've watched a few shows with that trope lately so ...)
Schitt's gets better because they become more likeable. They still have moments of being terrible but it's less pretentious because they've shown they can be good people.
It's worth following through because you get to see the full arch of the family and the town's story.

A reboot of Night Court starts next Tuesday. Please 8lb 5oz Baby Jesus don't let it suck, it was one of my favourite comedies back then. And if it's good please don't let it get cancelled early.
I was looking at some clips and I am not holding out hope. It looks like boring, inoffensive, vanilla Chuck Lorre type crap. Maybe they only released the really lame bits. “Night Court” redux should be an HBO or Showtime show, if they want to recapture the essence of the original. It looks more like Two and A Half Men, than an “Always Sunny in Philadelphia” or “Shameless” type of unapologetic humour.

I for one am anxiously awaiting the inevitable Red Letter Media review.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.

But does it have a laugh-track?

I literally don't remember how the season played out, other than it falling off a cliff. I remember thinking the logic made no sense for what should need to be pretty air-tight given the legal proceedings.
I'd say if you want a good show with a similar vibe for what they were probably trying to copy in some way:

I thought the premise of Your Honour was pretty much bunk from the get go. Kind of like Prison Break. They either get caught or get away with it and then what?
Maybe a good premise for a limited series or a movie, but a drawn out network show? Nah.

I found it really bland with a lot of forced humor that really didn't get much of a laugh for me. Don't get me wrong, John Larroquette is brilliant. He's the king of dead pan humor, and plays a somewhat sad and tortured version of Dan Fielding from the original.
The rest of the cast just isn't that good. Melissa Raunch who was strong in the Big Bang series, doesn't stretch much in her role as Harry Stone's daughter. In fact her character comes across as annoying, over optimistic and just one note in this. She's over shadowed by the lady who plays the Prosecutor who is suppossed to be brazen and aggressive and a female version of Dan Fielding I guess. But comes across as hammy and just kind of there.
The baliff is just an awful actress in this role and is just there as the one with the throw away jokes. She's far from Richard Molls awesome deadpan Bull.
It was nice that they really referred to Harry Stone in a nice and at times touching way. But there's not enough to make this show a regular watch for me, its too safe, too typical and the cast is in my mind weak.

It slowly picks up steam and then Season 3 hits another level iirc

Like many shows it takes sometime to set the stage and introduce characters.
It picks up mid season 1 and then stays pretty steady.

Melissa Raunch? She's doing adult films?
(Sorry, Cap)
I watched the first two episodes, and they were...not good.

Velma is certainly taking a beating by Scooby Doo and non Scooby Doo fans alike. They all seem to have united to beat down Mindy Kallings creation.
Mindy Kaling's comedy seems polarizing.
Personally, I dont like her, I dont find her funny I actually just find her annoying and thats not entertaining to me. Thats fine, some people must identify with her comedy as she keeps getting work and projects greenlit.
