Thanks for the input fellas. Couldn't see a share button on Pc Part Picker, so here's my build:

1. AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor
2. Arctic Cooling Liquid Freezer III 360 A-RGBBlack AIOCPUCooler w/ 3xP12 PWMPSTA-RGB120mm Fans
3. Asus PRIME B650-PLUS ATX AM5 Motherboard
4. TEAMGROUP T-Force Delta RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory
5. Seagate BarraCuda 4 TB 3.5" 5400 RPM Internal Hard Drive
6. Kingston KC3000 2.048 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive
7. MSI EXPERT GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16 GB Video Card
8. NZXT H6 Flow RGB ATX Mid Tower Case
9. Super Flower Leadex Platinum SE 1000 W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
10. Microsoft Windows 11 Home Retail - USB 64-bit

I'm pretty sure the Liquid Freezer III will work with my mobo and case, but for some reason there are no Arctic Cooling liquid coolers on part picker. GamersNexus raved about this cooler and my research shows it should fit.

Have most of the parts here; will start assembly soon as the rest show up.

Any tips for assembly? I am a noob compared to most of you.

Most of that looks good, not a huge fan of the case... As far as assembly, just make sure you visualize where everything is going to end up before you start, including cables, and it's pretty easy.

Anyone have a lead on a good 34" for cheap (under 400) as a work monitor?

Dell has the S3422DWG on sale right now, it's $100 off bringing it to $399.

Well f me my new 4090 I got just did the black-screen 100% fan thing my previous one was doing.

I ran a 2060 for more than a week and played Diablo IV quite a bit and it never happened once.

Then I got the refurb 4090 and it's been perfect since.. Diablo IV, played through the entire campaign of CoD Black Ops 6, then a bunch of Sniper Elite 5... then just tonight it happened again!

The computer still seems to be going (as in I can still hear sound) for a while after the screen goes black.. once it did it while in YouTube and I could still hit the space bar and pause and unpause the video for a while.

I guess at this point it could be anything

Though one time it happened when I touched the CableMod power cable that I got while the computer was on (I thought maybe it wasn't seated fully), maybe that cable has a slightly poor connector or something, I guess that's the easiest/cheapest thing to switch out and try.

Looks like number for the 9800x3d came up. And I guess you can't get the new Noctua D15 from anywhere but amazon now? Strange.

EDIT: Never mind, kind of have to hop off the Dell wagon as their USB c charging apparently doesn't work with macbooks.

Also separately OLED G9 is 1298 which will be mine eventually but not this year.

^ this was in jest, as I'm surely following up.. in that, I'm a puss, in not wanting to risk some new AliExpress seller' pushing his Samsung 990 Pro 8TB m2. for $80.

Bought a couple of these Crucial P3 m.2 4TB's, instead;

I’m finally doing a new build after my last one from 2009 (i7 920, that thing is still kicking!)
Haven’t gamed much for the past decade because life got busy, but looking to get back into it.

Having a hard time picking a graphics card, but now looking at 4070 series.

Any specific deal or manufacturer you guys would recommend?
Is there some type of a respected guide to buying these should reference before I purchase?

Finally found the only PC gamer with a rig older than mine

See post #3361 for ideas. I followed guidelines from PC Part Picker.

Haha yea I saw your post, sounds like about the same path back to gaming
I just hope that once I spend all this money, I will actually play!
One of the big reasons I want to do a build is to show my 11 year old, on how that all works.

I see 4070 pricing is around $700 vs the 4070 TIS (approx $1100) you went with. Guessing the performance is worth the additional $400 cost?

There's always the 4070 sooper which is still a reasonable power draw and in between those two

I'm in the same boat. My kid is growing up and I want to get back into it.

I can't really answer your question if it's "worth it" to get the Super. All I know is that all the nerds online say it's the way to go. I have a buddy with a 13 year old gamer and I showed him the specs and the kid got so jealous. That alone was worth the 3 grand haha

I've been away for a bit so I haven't started building. All my parts are here now so I'll start next week probably.
