Montour and Theodore on the farm are awesome and would be in the NHL already if not for their depth.

Anaheim is having an off year thus far, but that roster is already stacked...I'm curious what they'd be looking to pick up via trade for a D like Fowler.
Upgrade at 3rd line C, perhaps ...though Fowler is worth more than that...very interesting

I didn't think he'd pass through. A bit underrated in the league IMO.

What's with the Trail boys and Boston? Cunningham first. Now Landon.

Cam Fowler is super overrated. Not sure how he would return a boatload.

Really? I disagree. I'd take Fowler over Hamonic.

I had a dream the flames traded for Trouba. Not sure how that makes sense...but I did go to bed drunk.

Really depends what you're looking for. Fowler is more of a skating puck moving d-man, Hamonic is more defensive, physical.
I'd say they're pretty comparable, just different styles.

I think Hamonic is a better defenseman than Fowler but more than that I think the Flames need a stay-at-home physical defenseman more than a one way soft offensive guy so I would definitely take Hamonic over Fowler if given the choice.

Fowler's too soft for my liking. This team needs to be harder to play against and Hamonic would provide that (along with a good amount of skill).

Gio+ 1st in 2017 for Hamonic and Dal Colle

And what if we are terrible in 2017? I didn't like Dal Colle in his draft year and he has done nothing since to change my mind. Then you swap your Captain and a guy that had Norris written all over him until he got injured last year for a guy most people barely knew about until he hit the trade market. This would be a terrible trade for the Flames.

I've been wondering how other GMs are valuing Hudler and Backlund? I know many here think they have very little but let's be real, they do have some. Backlund is young and really good in his own end. Could simply take a change of scenery to get him going.
Hudler has to know he likely won't be brought along when the team is going for broke in a few years. A contender who needs some offensive punch will likely pay a premium at the deadline.
Thoughts?

Backkund really isn't young anymore. These should be his peak years
