Well for one thing I think criminal charges are a start. I know thats outlandish and all....but as a guy without any criminal justice training I tend to rely on the experts.

I've never been for a massage (of any type)...so seriously, don't most people get naked for them? Seriously I have no idea. That part doesn't seem like a big deal though.

Come on man...really?
Like I said, i really dont care that a guy aged 45 is stepping out for some variety as it happens all the time, but there are two things about this of which one has to be true..
a) he was a complete moron and had no idea a seedy massage parlor was offering sexual favors. A parlor that existed within the boundaries of his constituency as a city coucillor if i am reading correctly
or
b) he knew and then lied about it.
Either way, he is subject to answering which one it is....no?

Yeah, I've always been naked for massages. It's difficult for the oil to work its way through clothing. It's so odd that "NAKED" is a key point to the story.

Only if your junk is your sore spot.
Otherwise it is pretty standard to keep your boxers on at the very least.

I wore boxers to one of my first therapeutic massages and got a lecture from the lady about how she can't work properly on my glutes and quads with it in the way.
They know how to drape you so nothing personal is ever exposed to them.

If the massage thing happened to Harper, I bet anyone defending Layton would be letting Harper have it. It certainly is shadey to say the least.

Alas...but a fair trade-off for reduced back/leg pain.
(I also open my mouth at dental appointments - not sure if that's also scandalous.)

Wouldn't Carson have been required to complete a criminal background check before being approved for the job? I've had to submit to security checks before, and I've never held a position anywhere close to the PMO.
If Carson did indeed complete a criminal check and was hired anyway, then either Harper himself or someone on his team would have known of Carson's criminal history.

Well, I can think of one person that I'm sure would. But hey, late at night, seedy massage parlour that had just been raided two weeks before, Jack Layton lying naked on his back, masseuse throwing a wet Kleenex in the garbage... yupp, nothing to raise your eyebrows at here.

The only thing shady about the massage parlour incident is the leak. Isn't it illegal for a police officer to incriminate a person without charges being laid?

What I find hilarious about Slava's position is that the facts as they are laid out isn't enough for him to suspect that Layton did anything wrong, but he has no problem saying that it was the CPC that probably leaked the story.

Feel free to scroll back to earlier this morning where I said it was probably the Liberals.
Can you just go ahead and point out a time when I've ever criticized Harper for anything other than policy related items? (Good luck finding that...)

Yup Harper made a bad decision there. Glad he fixed it.
Only a complete idiot would believe Layton was there for anything other than sex. Sure it didn't meet the burden of proof under the law but, can you honestly tell me you don't think he went there for sex?

In all honesty I think that is the norm. I am fairly sure that they just drape a towel over you and make sure everything is covered.
Anyway, I'm really tired of arguing about this in general. I just really don't care one way or the other.
