The clouds in the deep southeast look pretty menacing at the moment

It's dark out there - couldn't see the bluff from my north facing office window a few mins ago.

Since it was a bit hard finding it myself:

At 2:53 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a thunderstorm that is producing a tornado. Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible.
This thunderstorm is located just south of Okotoks and moving to the east at 30 km/h.

Seems like the worst has passed. It did end up getting lighter as it hit, so I guess the seeders did their work.

Hail blankets prepped if needed.
Some of the biggest rain drops I've seen in a while in Whitehorn, but no hail so far. Hoping it stays that way.

Hell of a storm covering the southern half of the province right now. Just my luck to be in a car driving to Calgary from Red Deer at the moment. Get to watch the whole thing.

On the westside, we just got
45 mins of dark clouds and rumbling thunder
<10 mins of very heavy rain
Another 10 mins of sprinkling rain
Zero hail

Finally reached Chestermere, heavy rain but the hail is barely enough to qualify as hail.

After some VERY dark clouds in far NW we had pelting rain that the roadway couldn’t keep up with and a short spell of blueberry-sized hail (non GMO). For a short storm it provided huge water volumes. Now it’s moving along. I feel good about it since it seems I’ve been caught on my bike just about every big storm the last 2 weeks except this one.

Can I go outside now? I think it’s gone, right? Looking west I see sun. And just a light sprinkle currently.

Looks alright for now. A little bit unsettled to the West, but too early to tell whether that'll amount to anything, and if it does, it will be a bit later. But nothing imminent.
