Definitely. Convenience store food here has been too bad for too long.
Using the same model here also won't get nearly enough churn on the shelf. The Lawsons, Family Mart, and 7-11 conbini that I've been to in Japan and Ho Chi Minh City rarely had stale-dated ready-to-eat food sitting around because of the ridiculous amounts of foot traffic and density.

I'd argue that the difference is the night of boozing is not required in Asia - the food will taste good regardless.
Here that's the only way it's palatable.

Japanese conbinis (convenience stores) are elite. If they ever bring those types of 7-11's here along with the variety and freshness of products that they offer in them, I'd be in heaven.

A timely discussion, since it seems that Couche Tard is intent on destroying Asian 7-Elevens

When I'm in the UK, one of our favorite places to eat is Pret-a-Manger, a restaurant (really just kiosks) built around ready made boxed sandwiches. I suspect the sandwiches are similar to those in a Lawsons or 7-11 in Japan.
They've tried to bring Pret to Canada a few times now - and it just isn't the same. There's an A&W in the Toronto CBD (on Adelaide, by the Hockey Hall of Fame) that has a rack of Pret-a-Manger sandwiches but somehow it's just not the same. High costs are a big part of it (hell I'll just get the hot burger combo if you're charging the same price) but it doesn't have that same perception of freshness even if it is indeed fresh.

I like Pret also and have eaten there in the UK a bunch of times. A&W has their coffee now, but I hadn't seen any of the food here.

Good news, I was just at 7/11 and it has a self checkout now. Score.

They’ve had self-checkout for awhile through the app but I think they stopped that because people were walking out without paying. I know I accidentally did it a couple of times when an item didn’t go through properly. I haven’t tried the kiosk yet.

It's better than the Safeway one, because it doesn't ask you about bags, taking an unknown item of the scale, for your scene card 3 times...but it is convenience store prices. Still, I needed a coke for dinner, and it's a quick walk vs a drive.

You think everything is weird, though.
Like, when I found out you have a motorcycle I was going to ask if you could double me around just for fun, but I know you'd make it awkward or something and then I'd feel like there's something wrong with me.
IDK...maybe be more open to stuff.

I’ve never doubled anyone before, but I suppose, if you really wanted to it could be awkwardly awesome. Maybe do a CP group ride.
You aren’t averse to wiping out or anything? Don’t worry, it’s a small cc bike, so the primary danger is getting hit from behind, because with 2 people, we’re probably looking at 0-100 in maybe half a minute.
Anyway, it’s a moot point since I have already winterized it.

Saw a sign for a Chick-fil-A being built at the East Hills shopping area.
That's good, I tried it when I went to Seattle last month and it was fine, but my niece tells me that I did it wrong and that it's all about the sauces and she'll educate me when it's built lol.

It would have to be filmed and must be front style reverse doubling.

Okay. We can touch tips on this in the spring when you get it out of storage.

I don't think riding face to face is how doubling is done is it.
