Highly doubtful, no team is going to take on a big cap hit at the trade deadline for next season unless there's a clear hole to be filled. In that case that would that it isn't a playoff team that would want him, which would mean that they'd have no reason to trade for him at the deadline.
Cammalleri will have value at the draft and at the start of the season but not at this deadline.
Would be really stupid to try to trade him now if you want to maximize value.

If we want big returns on Cammy you deal him at the deadline next year as a rental. He might return a 1st at that point but won't bring back that much right now

He's on pace for close to 70 points this season in a regular season, and since arriving back in Calgary has 22 goals in 56 games, a 30 goal pace. His contract isn't favourable, but he's far from passing waivers at this point..

Marginally a better player? Iginla has scored 30+ goals every season for 11 seaons and this one season being an exception due to lockout. Glencross at his best did 24 and had like 50 points. Iginla gets 50 points in his sleep. Now we're talking dollars?
When's the last time Glencross got shadowed by opposing attackers? He's no respected as a goal scorer. He's left alone out there. Iggy produces anyways.
Glencross is a try hard goal scorer who is a second liner at best. He gets minutes in Calgary because he is playing for Calgary. Lol
Let Iggy do the talking when he plays for a contender and at 35 years old is putting up big numbers.

Iggy has 9 goals and is a -7 I love the guy but this is reality...not to mention the 7 million dollar cap hit
the team isn't gonna suddenly be terrible without him they already were

Unless you take some salary back and the acquiring team views Cammy as an upgrade. Could take some money back and gain a prospect which would be the way to go IMO.

Yup, Backlund and Brodie have made at least some of this year enjoyable.

If the Flames get a goalie from Boston, it has to be Malcolm Subban.

Presently Iginla is refusing to negotiate a contract with Calgary because he literally can't stand to play another wasted game in a Flames uniform, therefore wanting to go play on a better team. Look at the players surrounding him on Calgary. All bad.
His stats are a reflection of a bad team with an aging player, but he can still play at a high level, just needs more help than before. He has a A nack for the net dude.
