Perhaps you'd like to judge us too?

No. But judging by this comment, I can see why people would like you to work from home, more.

Suggesting Rhett stayed home because he wanted to isn't that far fetched. Boomer was in the office for a while and Rhett spent most of Covid's dog days travelling the States and abroad. He clearly wasn't concerned about Covid.

Also the guy negotiated 4-5 months off a year. Working a lot wasn't ever in the cards for him lol

Absolutely. Accountants can work from home, data entry doesn’t need to be done from a office, most of the time. But sitting at a round table, using points and cues is vital to a talk radio station.

Got it. You judge people quickly and absent real information. That is clear.

You did it with your original comments asking a frankly dumb question about why Rhett was working from home, including assuming that "everyone has gone back to work" and that it's "an excuse to work from home"

And now you are doing it again.

When the last day was negotiated, I believe it was more specifically his last day before he packs it up for the extra long summer break he takes every year. This year he just decided that he was bringing in the gear and not coming back… although he’s done that in the past and changed his mind too.

If we’re belaboring sound quality and the talent…

I’d take a former NHL personality like Rhett with average sound quality over Eric Francis running his shows via a flip phone connected by a piece of string and amplified by a tin can any day.

That said, I’d take almost anyone with almost any sound quality over Francis.

I didn’t assume that everyone did. I was basing it off the fact that the majority of Canada had returned to regular duty’s. Rhett, wasn’t working from home because of Covid, but because of the fact that he realized he didn’t have to work from the office.

If you want to work from home, go for it. There are allot of reason and jobs that do not benefit from being in an office space. But imo, Rhett struggled to use his mic, when he was at the office, and could Benefit from being around tech savvy guys.

Kristen Anderson moving on from the Herald/Sun beat:

I wonder if this means a move to Flames coverage for Danny Austin?

I most likely means more $$ and better hours for her.

Game coverage in particular has to be a grind working so close to deadline. (And personally, I don't know how they do it because I'd be so bored writing the same stuff over and over and over – and dealing with bland player quotes.) Most news reporters only experience that kind of turnaround pressure on election nights.

It is a great gig from every aspect...period. (Sans about a month with those 10 special days in the middle)

Really happy for her.

Journalism today is pretty much a stepping stone job to PR and corporate communications. It’s becoming rare to see anyone over 40 with a family working in the field.

Sandra Prusina is filling in on 960 this week. I only listened to about 20 minutes on the drive home, but I enjoyed listening to her — well spoken and had some good comments. Well done Mango!
