Upset alert as youngster Hubert Hurkacz of Poland is a service hold away from sending Greek Yogurt packing.

Just turned it on. Something wrong with Milos? He looks miserable.

A trainer was working on his back not long ago.

That was unexpected

Interesting how the commentators implied that Milos is too ready to quit at the first twinge of anything physical.

This is the worst, just sucks that injuries are taking away the career of the greatest tennis player in Canadian history. Had it not been for injuries I believe he would have stayed top 5 for a long time and battle for Grand slams .

Happy Birthday to el Roger, 38 and still playing at such a extremely high level what an incredible achievement!

Without a doubt my all time favorite Federer moment would have to be 2011 French Open semi finals against Djokovic. Djokovic had a 41 match win streak to start 2011 and had just won the Australian Open so he was on fire and at the very top of his game, everyone thought he was going to win. And then Federer played his best match on clay and beat him in 4 amazing sets capped off with the finger wag heard round the world as if to say young man I'm still top of the mountain.

You know who else shares a birthday with the GOAT? Felix Auger-Aliassime. His last year as a teenager.

In his young career, the Canadian has already reached three ATP finals and climbed as high as No. 21 in the rankings; by contrast, Federer had only reached one ATP final and No. 35 by his 19th birthday. 25 Majors confirmed

Thiem - Cilic about to get underway. This is a pretty tasty 3rd round match.

Pliskova won her match in straight sets thus Bianca vs. Bertens should be up shortly on Sportsnet One.

if Felix and Bianca make it all the way to the top, it'll be pretty cool to have us all united behind them through the duration of each tournament. I can't imagine some anti-Canadian fan dropping in and trying to ruin things the way you occasionally see Oiler fans pop up in a Flames thread. but maybe I shouldn't hold my breath...

D'oh, the rain is pounding down in Toronto and play is halted after a grand total of four points being played.

One advantage of having two different locations for the Rogers Cup is that it is rare that inclement weather affects both sites at the same time.

Cilic blaming the ball boys for taking too long to get the balls to him as well as barking at the umpire for starting the serve clock too soon. Um no Marin, it's bouncing the ball up to 20 times before serving that is the issue.
