Glad you SWers had an enjoyable weekend!

Our Warriors were one of four teams to go 3-0 during the round robin, but ended up seeded 4th. Won our game last night but lost our first this morning. That meant we had to play again right away, won that, played AGAIN right away (third in a row), and won that. Got a one game breather before the semis, but ended up losing that to the same team we lost to this AM.

Final totals, 6 wins, 2 loses for third place.

The wind yesterday was pretty bad. Today is was BRUTAL! I don't remember a tournament down there where is was so windy. Oh well, it was fun pitching in that. Managed to even strike out the side in one game.

Anyhoo, thanks SWers for a fun season. And SportsJunky, you got your request in. Bob Seger, Old Time Rock N Roll was the first song played last night.

Bob Seger? I thought he requested Gordon Lightfoot..? Junk, check your voicemail..!

Had fun this weekend. It's a bit of a blur. I haven't drank so much so quickly since I was a young punk (ok, last weekend). You guys and gals are a blast to hang out with. FIYE, for the last time, they're work jeans with holes.

I kinda wish I tried a little harder at failure, I really wanted that picture. I thought I had it in the bag with the missed grounders on friday.

I'm a bit choked that our perfect season has that one win blemsih on the record. Damn them.

Well done Locke.

Well done to all.

One of the better times I've had in recent memory.
Good weekend, Uncle Chester!

So the mod that I sent a pm to to switch your tag has requested stories. Care to tell the masses why you're our "Uncle Chester"? Maybe Locke, our Male MVP with the vocabulary bigger than Shakespeare, can tell the story.

And Aeneas, if you spill the beans on "my eyes are up here", the poster that deserves that title will be re-tagged.

Maybe you should look for girls that play softball, it might be easier.

Sweet! He's already Uncle chester!!!!
Who do I have to tell the other story to?

Well done all, will post season ending stats as soon as I sober up...sometime next week.

Locke: I'll have to take Junky's word that your essay was good; I of course just kept yelling out things from "In Bruges" to interrupt you while I was reading it.
Okay I read it very well done. Only why was there no mention of a certain someone who fell face down in the dirt, without any percievable effort to break said fall with anything other than a nose?

Oh yeah, it was nice of you not to point out which one of us slept with their own sister (hint: name starts with "o" ends with "s", three letters total)

The only stats I have so far are these ones:

Player (s): all outfielders tied with 8
Stat: turning around and running to the fence.

BOF (beers on Friday)
FKA 20
Aeneas 19 ( I feel shame in falling short, but had to pull the chute; Locke was starting to look cute)
SportsJunky 18* (* He drank about half, and poured the rest on people's feet. Weird, but thats our Uncle Chester)
FIYE: No one knows, he got stuck in his tiny tent and we couldn't get him out.
4x4: hard to tell, his behaviour after first beer and 15th was identical. "I'm going to punch you in the face"
troutman: ?, the minstrel was to busy with his incredible catalog on the guitar. Just how many songs can he play the first 10 seconds of?
Can't remeber how many Obs or Locke had.

must sleep. Hope the werewolves dont eat me.

Uncle Chester deserves honorable mention for best injury with that gnarly gash on the knee.

Me and Banffgirl are the best werewolves. Boo to you villagers. And as for my behaviour, complaints are unwarranted. Me=class.

BTW, chid, we forgot your beachball down at the campsite. If you need a new one, I'm pretty sure Dan Colutier can hook you up.

haha I think I'll be fine.

I think I saved your phone from potential drowning a couple times, I was amazed though at how you managed to lay down in the river while on the phone, totally obliterated.

I have a very vague recollection of that. I also have a vague recollection of trout and Locke holding hands. WTF?

Sounds like you guys had a blast this summer, hopefully the CP hockey team can fill the Calgarypuck void this winter. Although softball lends itself better to drunken debauchery.

Although we do have an often banned from CP oilers fan and Kevanguy on the team, so that should be a start.

The highlight of my weekend was today (sunday) when I felt bad that Aeneas and obs were cleaning the campsite and I was sitting on my arse. I decided to help clean and the first piece of garbage I picked up was someone's discarded "Brewhouse" beer case, still containing four beer. Score! I've penciled them in for tomorrow night. (they're going to assist me in cleaning the truck)

Man...I wasn't even on the team and I had fun just reading all your stupid stories. Well done guys. And yeah, here's hoping the hockey team will be able to pull through with some fun times as well.

Awesome time this season guys and girls. I'm down for whatever next year, if we want to search out a new league I'll gladly help with that. If we decide to stay in this league that's fine too. I've got all winter to train, Rocky Balboa style (minus the short-shorts, belly shirts and working out... probably just drink a whole bunch and practice the peanut toss)

Rube: Great to meet you and if you're in town next ball season stop by the field for some beer. I heard Mike has a few brewhouse kicking around.

Everyone Else: Now it's time to prepare for the greatest battle of our time played on grass and shale. Get healed up and oil up your gloves for...

CP SW Vs. CP CENTRAL!!!!

It's going to be like the 'rumble in the jungle' without the finess and probably a whole lot more swearing and beer drinking. Start picking dates and venues people. Home team chooses the field.

FKA: You can't gargle sand?

Hands down the most disgusting joke I've heard in a while. Funny as hell but it caught me off guard.

Who was it that asked if they had anything in their teeth? 4x4, FKA?
Regardless answer was clearly (after looking) that it looked like they had flossed with Locke's pubic hair.

Those were great 4x4. You can never have too much Gordon Lightfoot. Oh wait, yes you can.

I'm Uncle Chester! I'd love to tell the story but I don't know it. If it's what the Urban Dictionary tells me then I must have really been drunk.

This sucker hurts. Opens up everytime I bend my knee. Serves me right for tripping over first base.

Don't burn those shirts yet folks we still have to play our arch rivals from across town. C'mon FireFly, lets set this up.
