I'm not talking about him as a person. I'm talking about him as as baseball player, and in my eyes he is garbage in that respect. It was reported this summer that Gibbons was actively pushing management to let him walk, I really wish they had of (and I was originally on board with picking up his option thinking they wouldn't bring Thole back).

I can't friggen Handle Thole anymore. He's battling .115 for goodness sakes and he misses more of Dickey's knuckleballs than he catches.

How the hell can a guy like Dickey who at this point is nothing but a 4 or 5 guy in the rotation command his own personal catcher? It's madness.

He's been better than Stroman.

I agree though the Thole experiment is an abject failure and its time for management to find another solution for a back up catcher.

They have Jiminez in AAA. He should be the backup.

They also have Jesus Montero whose ripping the cover off the ball down there. He used to catch when he first came up to the bigs, I think he's been converted to first base permanently though.

Do you have to use the designated hitter to bat for the pitcher? Maybe the Jays should use the designated hitter to bat for Tolłe instead.
