Baltimore and San Fran are going to depend on what happens in the playoffs, but I also think Baltimore needs to start thinking about finding some new pieces for their defense.
I think it'll come down to who can put together the most impressive package out of KC, Miami, Seattle, and the Jets. My bet would be on Miami, but watch Dan Snyder come out of the blue and trade his next two drafts for Peyton.

LOL @ you and the so called experts need to get a freaking clue about the D not being that old, everyone outside of Lewis, Reed, Johnson, Redding, and Ayanbadejo is between 23 and 29 years old. The majority of those guys were either drafted or signed between 2009-2011, then need to start drafting guys who can play OL now.

Peyton going to New York would ramp up the Pats/Jets rivalry like never before. I guess the first thing that had to happen is for Msnning to be declared healthy enough to play first. I'd love to see him go to a team with an actual defense. Baltimore and San Fransisco would be my two ideal teams.

If Peyton becomes a Jet I will jump off a building so I never have to see that. I love Peyton but I HATE the jets.

Yeah, because Lewis and Reed don't play two of the most important positions on defense. Your secondary is no screaming hell either. I think Jimmy Smith will be good, but there are going to be some holes that need to be filled. Anyways, that wasn't really my point. I just don't see Baltimore throwing a whole bunch of draft picks for Peyton Manning when they can likely use those picks to retool a bit and continue to be contenders for the next decade, instead of going all-in for a Super Bowl next season.

I healthy Manning would make either SF or BAL superbowl favourites IMO. Not sure if SF would do it though as they seem to have a lot of confidence in Smith going forward under the new coach.
I guess this weekend's performances for either team may help sway the team's thinking though

If SF thinks they can land either Manning or Luck via trade, without mortgaging too much of the future, they'd have to go for it. Smith has been decent this year but he hasn't been asked to do very much. Manning with that running game and defense would be lethal.

I'm hearing nothing from SF about any interest in another QB. They seem very happy with Alex Smith and the work he has put in this year and all the talk is about when (not if) they are going to extend him.
It is actually kind of curious; a good chunk of the fan base wanted to run Smith out of town and now some of them are complaining about him not making the Pro-Bowl (no way in hell that is going to happen until he gets more explosive with the offence). The real question is what happens with Colin Kaepernick? The though process seemed to be bring Alex Smith back for a season and take the beating while CK learned the ropes and was slid into the line up later in the year. But with the success of the team and the efficiency of Smith, suddenly a starting job in SF may not be available.
I wonder if CK may be traded to a QB hungry team that doesn't get one of the big fish in the draft. He has only played a quarter but was a high 2nd round pick last year and has done nothing to lower that rating.

I think the price starts at Clevelands #4 this year, plus the two firsts they have next year. Might seem steep, but I think it would be well worth it for the Browns.
If they want RG3...they won't get him 4th in the draft, someone else will be able to jump them to take him. QB's usually go higher in drafts, and with so many teams having issues at the position, I think you'll need the #2 pick this year if you want to get him. One of St.Louis or Minnesota will be willing to move back.

In regards to the Browns trading up for Luck, I'm almost positive following the Colts, that they will draft Luck and not entertain trading the pick even if Peyton is cleared to play.

I heard from Don Banks on PTS that the colts realistically couldn't trade Manning as it would end up in a 39 million dollar cap hit.
Not sure if he was wrong or if there is a date he has to be dealt by but he seemed to think that if manning left it would be as a FA not trade.

Joe Namath questions why Tony Sparano was hired as OC.
Quote:
Other than calling some plays with the Dallas Cowboys, I don’t know what his credentials are for an offensive coordinator,” Namath said. “This goes back ... Sparano’s relationship with (Jets general manager Mike) Tannenbaum goes back to the (Bill) Parcells days, too. This is the football fraternity, the coaching fraternity, the general managers with their friends and all. That’s basically what I think about Tony getting that job. Because credentials as an offensive coordinator? I don’t see it."

Makes me think there's less of a chance he leaves but love the idea of Peyton getting to pick where he wants to go if it happened.

Probably would have to be dealt before his 23 million dollar bonus is due, which I belive is in April.
Edit: 28 Million Dollar Bonus due March 8th. They will trade or cut him before then if doesn't want that towards cap.

Mind you...maybe they'll sit his arse in a sound proof booth so no one can hear when he starts ranting on players and officials.

Ross wouldn't give Fisher control, wanted to keep Ireland around, which mistake on the part of Ross imo.

I wonder what the Bills are going to do at the draft ... and I also wonder why I still care

Caught something on NFL Network not long ago, Brandon Lloyd sounded really happy with St.Louis hiring Jeff Fisher.
I wonder if he now stays in St.Louis and doesn't go to the New England Cheaters.

Looks like the Colts are keeping Caldwell as coach. Seems as though if Manning is healthy that he will be the starter too because of the relationship between him and Caldwell.
