McDavid, Talbot and Draisatl.

I wouldn't be surprised if this team proves unsustainable, and is a one year wonder and is facing serious problems in terms of future depth due to upcoming contracts.

Basically their window to win the cup is this year and next year and after that they'll be forced back into rebuilding because of their gross drafting leaving them with nothing substantial coming up and being forced to trade their few decent players for nothing but cap relief.

As a franchise they deserve no respect for their main move being a quick scan of the Hockey News draft addition when they drafted McDavid.

Fixed.

Maybe they are a one year wonder. Unfortunately I think they've finally got it together.

Rich coming from an undercover Oiler fan, seeing as how an Oiler fan can't go 2 sentences without bringing up the 80's.

Usually when a person humble brags about a hot wife and multiple kids and an awesome job it means

A) Lives in a rusty trailer with his 400 pound wife, he has two buck tooth kids that he's not sure are his and his awesome electricians job involves him turning on the slurpee machine in the morning as part of his day shift

B) doesn't have a wife, lives in his moms basement, the neighbourhood bully 8 year olds kick the crap out of him every day, and his last job interview was with a company that could promise that he would make $500.00 a day by using the internet and they just needed his bankaccount number to get him set up, and when they went to scam him they saw his balance, felt bad for him and deposited $10.00

C) He has a torture dungeon and neighborhood cats keep vanishing, but his neighbors think he's a nice quiet guy who always waves at them when he goes out and gets his plain brown paper bag wrapped magazines out of the mailbox.

I'm pretty sure it's the same guy. You have to feel bad for a guy that thinks this is a good idea.

Flames Fan 101's account is still active. So resident hot wifed newfie electrician may potentially still make an appearance down the road.

Eerily similar posts from both accounts, continually dishing admiration for the Oilers while claiming to be a flames fan.

It's because fans of those two teams are so desparate for acknowledgement they can't help themselves. Oilers fans are the worst, most entitled fan base I have ever seen.

Like, come on. There was another poster like a week ago who resorted to the "oh yeah, well my wife's hot" defence and it always makes the person saying it sound like a 12 year old kid (in this case that's probably true).

Well he was entertaining in any event.

If it is who I think it may be (I am also an electrician and might have worked on a site with him) then his house and wife and kids are in Cuba.
Just a hunch.

Why didn't we ask for pics before the ban? So many lost opportunities!

Jonathan Willis @JonathanWillis
There's absolutely no question that the #Oilers should trade Kris Russell. Now. http://bit.ly/2l4CL7d

When Russell signed, I described him as a solid third-pair defenceman with legitimate special teams abilities. That’s still true, but it isn’t something Edmonton particularly needs. With eight healthy defencemen and three legitimate options on the farm, the Oilers could move Russell for a bunch of assets (which, ideally, they would then re-invest) and not be any worse off.

Russell had a great October, and looked like more than he actually is. The months since prove that was a mirage. The question now is whether the Oilers will take advantage of the confusion generated by that hot run, or allow themselves to be fooled by it.

Yes, please trade him and also the rumor is that Davidson is on the way out as well.

OT, but Russell's dad is back coaching minor hockey in Caroline. He is coaching an Atom team out in Caroline.

Which I think is pretty cool.

Also, E=NG

I hadn't given Russell a thought in a long time, so checking his stat line so far...48 games, 0 goals, 5 assists? so...on pace for 0 goals 7 assists for the season. this guy wanted 4-5 million from us or the free market, multiple years.

I sure hope he's blocked about 16,000 shots for them then.

Wow. Considering 3 of those 5 assists came in the first two games against us, how is that even possible? I mean, unless you're Joe Colborne...
