Funny Mcdavid does a shout out to Calgary in the playoffs, getting screwed by the clarification of rules.

My uncle used to mine as well.
Seriously though, just watched the highlights and that Nurse contract is a beautiful thing!
The best part of that called back goal is that there are now Coiler fans out there crying that the NHL is "changing rules to deliberately screw the Oilers"...
I don't think that at this point, Nurse is a top 3 defenseman on a decent team, but with the Oilers he's their top guy, and its delicious. And if the Oilers think he's tradeable they're delusional.

That McDavid/Gretzky MGM commercial seems like it is supposed to be light hearted, but they both come across as total dicks
That commercial is vomit inducing. First for subjecting us to McDavid's weird face and awful, awkward personality, second for pushing even more gambling and third for further staining Wayne's image. It just sucks, it's terrible.

Issues like these aren't on the refs it's on the league for having a rule with very loose interpretations.
The Coleman non goal, the Makar one that counted, McDavid's last night.
All over the place on kicking, goalie interference and off side (control) rulings.
Yep. They really should strive for more black and white rules as right now it's interpretation on the ice compared to interpretation of the replay booth that's resulting in coin flip rulings that frustrate players, coaches, and fans. It's very CFL-like in how nobody really knows what to expect from replay outcomes.

That whole team has absolutely no character and is a complete embarrassment. McDavid needs to shut his mouth and have some respect for the game and the officials. Just say you don't necessarily agree but that's the game let's move on. Would be nice if he would actually try to be a good example instead of being a continuous victim all the time (yeah I know the Oiler way......). Have never seen a top athlete in any professional sport that provides a worse example for young players who look up to them. Both in how he plays and how he conducts himself.
The next thing is Woodcroft, why is he trying to do a Darryl Sutter impersonation in his pressers. The Beav looks like a guy that has some people stuck at the bottom of a well and throws bread and lotion down to them. The guy is a complete joke
I did laugh at the highlights were the first St. Loo goal was an outright giveaway from Nurse, how then stands there and takes absolutely nobody, doesn't even try, as the goal is going in.
Then the tying goal he totally gives the puck away, while on the PP and with less than 30 seconds left, and again boom it's in the net and he is face down licking the ice.
