Needs to hold serve in this opening game of the 5th set to keep that positive momentum.

Then he wins a crazy point to get up 15-40, but he should have three break points, not two. Then he does exactly the same thing at 15-40. I know, he got the set, but that shouldn't have even been as dramatic as it was.

Those returns have to go in the court. They don't have to be winners or anything close to it. They have to go in. Anderson has previously served his way out of trouble, but not that time. Anderson gave him a gift and he almost pissed it away.

Well, four straight faults probably isn't a great way to start off there.

Heck of a recovery to get back to 40-30 though. And there's the game. Way to show some nerves of steel.

Some negative body language from Anderson....and a huge hold from Shapo.

Welp, that's gonna be tough to come back from. But at least it's early in the set. Pressure time!

Ouch. Anderson definitely taking advantage of Shapo's serve for that break.

Big point 30-30 after being broken, and he puts the backhand return in the court off the second serve. Not a great return, but enough to start a rally.

Okay, on the break point second serve he missed, but that one I don't think was his fault. Just a really good body serve by Anderson.

And... holy #### what was that that return was crazy

Gah, it was such a good return game until there. Really weak finish to an otherwise outstanding game from Denis. Too bad. Still, keep it up, maybe get another chance or two.

Great rally, fantastic approach, good finish. Excellent point to set up another break chance.

Brutal call by the linesperson, Shapo was in control of that point.

Yeah, hopefully he can regain composure because he was playing a fantastic return game again. There, another break point. He really deserves it at this point.

Denis got screwed by that line judge, but credit Anderson for taking advantage of it with three good points right after.
