And even if not politics, this country is so big. If you get a chance to live somewhere else, do it. There's so much more than just one province. Life is too short to stay in one place IMO.

>Various other areas for 3-6 month stretches

I'm not "pissing" in your cornflakes.

I completely grasp that people move for all sorts of reasons, politics being 1 of those reasons. But in my life all my moves &/or my families moves have been financially/job motivated including emigrating to Canada when I was young. This holds true for many of my friends/family.

I posted earlier that for years I had no thoughts of moving from Calgary, but now I have had those thoughts & it is a reflection of the political climate in Alberta.

I'm not sure why you are so pissy this morning, but I hope you day gets better as it progresses.

People who bitch about other people moving or who want to move is bizarre. It's their life, not yours, and benchmarking them against yourself and your own opinions about why you personally want to STAY is a useless, fruitless exercise / waste of energy. Not everyone has your life and nor should they.

People are free to do what they want. If you want to move, then move. People that say “If this party wins the election. I’m moving.” come off like a spoiled child screaming and stomping their feet because they get what they wanted. We mocked several celebrities for doing the same thing before Trump got elected. This is no different. Nobody wants to hear this stuff. Put up or shut up because anything else is just whining because an election didn’t go the way you wanted.

So yes, government policies have a limited reach and governments have a limited life, but their impact on society can be much larger. I look at the US pre- and post-Trump. Sure there were things in motion already but he was a massive dose of fire accelerant for the decivilization of society.

I wouldn't worry. Bumbles basically invited a bunch of liberal votes with the "Alberta is Calling" campaign, all looking for cheap houses, jobs, and no PST.

The winds of all of "this" have been around for some time and I believe that Bannon joining Breitbart and it's use of turning the web and Trump into a weapon are to blame for really fanning the fire. Social media, especially the private groups on facebook and yahoos monetizing youtube also to blame big time.



Smith is no better, I am not exactly sure about her motives but I do believe she will do and say anything to cling on to something and a paycheck. The fact is the she probably knows that like Redford, she in not employable by any sane organization. Desperation is dangerous and as I understand it she is desperate.


That aside, for all of the shots she takes at Ottawa I would really like to know how much Covid relief she and hubby received personally and into numerous companies...that $40k per company can add up.
