Tough call, but I have to go with Luck myself. The Colts have gone from 2 wins to possibly 11, mostly due to a change at QB. Although Wilson has been the best of the three in the second half of the season imo. I would be fine if either of Luck or Wilson won it, then I'd have RG III at #3.

I think Luck's INT's and QB rating should hurt him.

Wilson has got to be getting some more credit for ROY now. Got to be between him and luck. Seahawks earning some national respect tonight with that beat down.

Tough call on the ROY. The Skins have still won the last 5 games that RG3 has started. Wilson has exploded in this final quarter of the season. Still Luck I think has the least around him in terms of a supporting cast. The Seahawks could be 9-6 or 8-7 right now with Matt Flynn at QB, their defence is one of the best in the league, and Lynch gives them a running game. The Red Skins were able to win with Kirk Cousins at QB, and did have some pieces inplace for Griffen to work with. But take Luck out of Indy and that is a 3-4 win team at best. Mind you...no Luck would mean they still have Manning, and 10 wins right now too.

John Madden always talks about how they should consider the playoffs when they hand out these awards. In this case you might need the playoffs to serve as. Tie breaker. You can make a case for anyone of these three QB's.

Shocker I know, but my vote goes to Luck. 2 win team to a double digit win team, broke the all time rookie passing record for yards in a season, the rookie record for 300+ yard games, and set the NFL record for most 4th quarter comebacks with 7....this isn't a rookie record but an NFL record. Pretty impressive. He comes through in the clutch. So many 4th quarter drives late in games to come out with wins. He has to rely on the throw. Indy doesn't have the run game like Washington or Seattle which makes it tougher. Luck has had to throw over 225 more pass attempts compared to both RG III and Wilson. Wayne and Avery are veterans but other then that, it's been a band of rookies (TY Hilton, Dwayne Allen, Coby Fleener, Lavon Brazil, Vick Ballard) that he has had to throw to or hand the ball off to.

All 3 QB's are great, but Luck gets my vote. I will say though that it wouldn't shock me if someone else won since RG III an Wilson are both deserving as well.

Redskins RB Alfred Morris also has 1,322 yards rushing and 9 TD's in 15 games. Pretty impressive for a rookie.

Considering how good Russel Wilson looks out there. That there is even a question about who wins the offensive rookie honors is pretty remarkable. That there is a legitimate argument for TWO other QBs is nearly unthinkable.

Wilson looks like a good veteran out there. Smart, Accurate, confident, makes plays when he needs to, doesn't get himself into trouble.

If I were to make a bet on who wins it i'd go with Luck.

If I were ranking the 3 for ROY...

Wilson
RG3
Luck

And my opinion could change daily. More specifically, my opinion flip flops between Wilson and RG3.

IMO, Wilson has no chance of winning the award. He has not had nearly the same exposure as Luck or RG3.

Pretty hard to decide who's the ROTY. Luck has the worst team around him of the three and Wilson has the best, while the Skins are not too far behind it turns out (look what Cousins did in his one game, thats a good team, not just RGIII). I suppose if the definition is best rookie then it has to be Wilson or RGIII, but if its most valuable rookie I think its Wilson and Luck. As such since I have Wilson as in the top two for both, he gets my nod.

For those still snivelling, with this win it pushes GB into the two seed and keep Sea in the 1st wild card...both teams would be in the exact same spot if GB won the MNF game.
Yes and no....there are still real possible repercussions from that game as explained by Kevin Siefert of ESPN

The current standings as they would have looked, assuming the Butterfly Effect didn't exist and all my other geek stuff, are in the chart that accompanies this post. If you compare it to the actual standings on ESPN.com, you'll see there is no difference between the order and, well, the order*.

But there are two subtleties worth mentioning.

First, had the Packers won in Week 3, they would still be in competition for the No. 1 overall seed and thus home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. In short, they would have been one game behind the Atlanta Falcons and in position to claim the tiebreaker (conference record) if both teams finished the season 13-3. UPDATE: Thanks to Jeremy Mills of ESPN Stats & Information, and NFC West colleague Mike Sando, for pointing out the Packers would have already locked up the No. 2 seed had the "Fail Mary" been called the other way

Second, as many of you have pointed out and the Playoff Machine confirms, the Seahawks' victory in Week 3 puts them in position -- however unlikely it might seem -- to leapfrog the Packers and secure the No. 2 overall seed in the NFC.

For that to occur, the following would need to happen Sunday:
  1. The Seahawks defeat the St. Louis Rams
  2. The Arizona Cardinals defeat the San Francisco 49ers
  3. The Packers lose to the Minnesota Vikings
That combination would lift the Seahawks to an 11-5 record and the NFC West title. (The 49ers would finish 10-5-1.) If the Packers lose to the Vikings and finish 11-5, the tiebreaker would be that Week 3 head-to-head matchup. In that instance, the Fail Mary would decide not only a division title but it would also determine one of the two teams that receive a first-round bye.

Well yes, the assumption on my part was the Falcons Seahawks Packers and 49ers take care of business against lesser opponents in WK 17 and it all remains status quo no matter how that game turned out.

Yeaaaah... see all that has to happen to negate all of that is for SF to win. And if you're picking Arizona to win on the road at San Fran, I'll sell you the golden gate. After that embarrassment they just suffered at the Seahawks hands the niners will be keen to bounce back and the Cardinals will be their unfortunate victims.

For ROY I would go with Luck and although close to me it is not as close as some are making it out to be.

Luck has played the best of the 3 on the by far the worst team with the least around him and is more valuable to his team than the other two. Wilson has been good for a rookie but clearly a step below Luck and the team likely has the same record with Flynn in as QB. The Seahawks win for a lot more reasons than their QB. Griffin has exciting plays but also long stretches of doing squat. He is not as bad as I expected but not as good as the exciting plays make him look like and again a step below Luck.

Still exciting to see some good young QB's in the league and some other good rookies being overshadowed by these 3.

OILFAN, I think you need to change your sig haha.

My vote is also for Luck. Kid's going to be a star for several years (unless, of course, he pulls a Cam Newton sophomore slump).

Newton's sophomore slump, at this point is a bit overstated. The Panthers have won the same number of games as last year, and Newton has 2 fewer TD passes, 6 fewer interceptions, the same amount of rushing yards, and at years end, similar passing yards. The only place that he's down much is rushing TD's, and that's not unusual since he set a position record for that last year. Really the fact that Newton put up the same numbers when the league knew what was coming to me means he played as well or better. Expecting him to up his game from last year was unrealistic.

Same will likely apply to Luck next year. If he puts up similar numbers, turns the ball over less and only leads the Colts to 9 wins will it be a sophomore slump? Or will it be a case of a guy being expected to do something that's beyond reasonable?

I think the Newton sophomore slump has come about because he was way overrate last year based largely to his start of the season and due to his rushing stats.

Looking at the last 10-12 games he had and his passing numbers were not impressive at all and his poor play this year shouldn't have been a surprise. But he got off to such a hot start with wins nobody expected and coupled with his running TD's people tended to focus on that.

Yeah I know lol. Alltherage made this for me a few years ago. Ideally, I'd keep it the same but have Luck and Eberle.

Somehow 5 Chiefs make the pro bowl which is is absolute fraud. Charles is the only one who should go. Colquitt has been good, but he gets to punt 10 times a game so it's probably pity that he got selected.

I personally think Luck should have been selected over Schaub for the third QB spot.
