Anyone go to the bike show last weekend? I went on Sunday and it ended up being an expensive day. Ordered one of these and now I don't want to do anything but ride it.
This also means I have a 2001 TT600 to sell. If anyone's looking for a super sport, you can send me a PM and I'll give you more details on it (definitely not recommended for learning on though).

Do they still spit out bits of chain and oil every 150 miles?
Here's a pic of me (On the Red 600rr) during a trackday last september at PIR. Hoping to get in about 3-4 trackdays this upcoming season!
Thanks, I'm actually hoping to take Kieth Code's California Superbike School this year but I'm not sure if I'll be able to. With Race City closed down I don't know where the nearest place would be try a track day.
Do you mind sharing the price of the bike you bought? I know nothing about them.

I was sorry to hear about racecity closing down. I'm actually trying to convince a friend of mine that lives in calgary to come down to Oregon Raceway Park for a trackday weekend.
I'm extremely fortunate that I have 4 different tracks within 3 hours driving distance. My purchase this spring will be an enclosed trailer to tow my bike with.
This was all filmed at ORP (going there for a track weekend this year) and Maryhill Loops road in washington (on my bucket list of roads to ride). All within 2 hours of my house
Bump! - question about licensing. I was never in the GDL program and currently have a standard Class 5 license. When I go for a bike license, will I be in the GDL program? Or will it be the a standard (written) learners, then (road test) Class 6?
You won't have a GDL. You already have a learners with your Class 5, so long as you ride with someone with a Class 6. You have a written and a road test on the same day to get your full license.

There is no GDL for class 6. There is a written test however (easiest test ever), which you need to pass before you can take your Class 6 road test. Also, there is no learners. I took a 1 week course to learn to how ride, wrote my test on the weekend, then did the road test 3 weeks later (I crashed if you recall thus why I waited the 3 weeks). You need to write the test before the road test, road test needs to be scheduled, written you need to just show up.
The road test is easy too. Guy puts a 1 way comm. in your ear and tells you what to do, then you ride around for 30 minutes.
Also, you probably know, but if you have a bike already and want to practice you need to be with someone who has their class 6.

Didn't get one yet. Can't find one used that I like, so I'll probably be buying new. Don't really want to invest that much cash until I actually have my license.
