I'm definitely 100% for Canada tonight! Tomorrow, that ends.

Yeah, ends with your team losing.

Or yours!
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous about Team USA being up to the task. I don't think either team has the gold medal in the bag. I've seen all the posts about the US only winning because of hot goaltending or favors from referees, etc. I think both USA and Canada have done (or almost done, considering Canada has one more game to win) what it takes to be in the gold medal game. Both teams deserve to be there and either team could skate away with gold. I really, really hope USA wins. We have a really big watch party and its way more fun when your team comes out on top.

Well the USA has been the best team in the tourny. On Paper they have the gold in the bag, but all the games have to be played. Let's hope the good guys come up on top. Go USA!

I was wearing my Suomi Kiprusoff jersey, sitting by a few Americans, and the jabs got pretty excruciatingly bad. What a way to spend $425.00

Ouch. I feel bad for you.
Finland's coach said that Kiprusoff will start in the bronze medal game.

In the 04 playoffs, he won every game following a game in which he allowed 4 or more goals, so it might not be the worst thing.

Only related to this thread because Kipper plays for Finland, but TSN has some video of Best saves, goals and Hits in the NHL.
Kipper made it with one on Cheechoo, but it is a travesty that his skate blade save against SJ did not make it on that list.
That is the save of the season as far as i'm concerned.

I am shocked that Jukka Jalonen is going back to him, but I am glad he has a chance to at least somewhat redeem himself. If the team had at least tried I could have easily justified paying that money, but I really can't right now. Come on Kipper, don't let me down today. Suomi voittaa tänään, sillä Miikka Kiprusoff lunastaa itselleen (I'm trying to say "Finland wins today because Miikka Kiprusoff will redeem himself," but I am new at this Finnish thing, so if anyone who speaks Fin can verify I said this correctly I'd be very stoked).

Good to hear that Kipper gets another chance. That first period was brutal. He let in some soft goals and his team wasn't that much better in front of him. Backstrom didn't fair much better as the whole team sucked it up. It was deju vu of the Canada/Russia game where if you're a spectator you'll get destroyed. The Canadians and Americans are deadly teams if you aren't ready.
I hope that Kipper can get the win and moves on. It was disappointing to watch.
