Past years have sucked since NHL 2004, but this one will by far be suitable and won't bleed my ears out with songs that don't even get you pumped for or even fit hockey at all.

I actually like that they included that Scorpions song, because its a classic arena anthem. A few classic arena anthems would be cool. We Will Rock You by Queen, Song 2 by Blur, Rock n Roll by Gary Glitter. That stuff would be fun to have in the game.

I despise the NHL soundtracks.
NHL 2K9 however, had an awesome one:
* Bad Religion -- New Dark Ages
* Genghis Tron -- Things Don't Look Good
* High On Fire -- Rumors Of War
* Inner Circle -- Bad Boys
* Joe Satriani -- Crowd Chant
* Mastodon -- Iron Tusk
* NoFX -- Linoleum
* Operation Ivy -- Bankshot
* Pennywise -- Knocked Down
* Protest The Hero -- Goddess Gagged
* Recliner -- Find A Way
* The Night Marchers -- Closed for Inventory
* The Offspring -- Nitro (Youth Energy)
* The Ramones -- Blitzkrieg Bop
I know I'm in the minority here, but I always end up enjoying the 2K NHL game moreso than the EA version. I find the EA game easier to play and master, but I quickly get annoyed over the issues that happen non-stop.
I find 2K9 to be far more realistic, especially as you are given the ability to fine tune all the sliders.

^Before EA 09, I agree. 2k was superior. But they've fallen behind now, NHL 09 was vastly better than 2k, and I expect 10 to be as well.

Also LOL rock you like a hurricane. If anything that'll remain as one of the tracks once I get to it.

back to the streets where we began...
I like the new artists, haven't heard a lot of the songs, but the soundtrack looks much better than the soft crap from the past few years.
Also, am I the only one that doesn't see Megadeth on that list? Or do they have a song being covered or something?

So this is the price for the best sports game ever, the worst soundtracks ever.
Just kidding around, I hate the soundtrack but I know I don't have typical taste for a hockey fan. Where's the Bright Eyes?!?!

Yes, we PS3ers will have custom playlists in NHL 10.

The soundtrack on 09 drives me insane now, and i get flashbacks of previous games when i hear the songs on the radio.

Me too! Most often, it's Runnin' Wild that I hear on the radio. Oddly enough, I still like that song.
The song on NHL09 that drives me craziest? "I want you to be crazy 'cause you're stupid,baby when you're sane!"

I'm pretty sure the penguins use the NHL 09 songs as their playlist, I've heard like every single song from the game watching their games.

It would be awesome if you could set "Rock You Like A Hurricane" as the song that the Hurricanes skate onto the ice to at the beginning of each game.

Not sure if this has been posted.
It's a bunch of screenshots of the players from Pittsburgh, Anaheim and Washington.
