and December (up until the 15th, and then the prices go up, but there seems to be some decently priced flights around Chrismas time in the $378 range)

I found a flight on Sep 3 - 7 to Newark with a stopover in each direction for $460 with taxes included. I haven't been able to find much better to get to NY in September.

Any tips on currency exchange? Places to go to get the best rate for USD? Euros?

Also, anyone try to "hedge" by buying up currency in advance? I was thinking about banking some USD when it was in the $0.90-0.92 range, but didn't end up doing it (of course, it's now down to $0.85-ish...)

Can anyone tell me which site to use that will alert me to deals... Im flying from OKC to Sea so My inlaws can pick my wife and i up to go to Vancouver. We are leaving the evening of Sept 3 and coming back Sept 7th... any tips would be appreciated.. best i have found is 388.00 roundtrip which isnt bad but hoping to find it around 300 a ticket...

July 21-29 on Air Canada. Direct flight on the way there, connects through Toronto on the way back.

Decent deal for summer prices.

Similar deal on July 29 - August 5th for $364 USD on Delta and Northwest. (Connects through Minneapolis both ways)

As in JFK or Laguardia only? Newark is showing as $360 USD for those dates. LGA is $622, and JFK is $615.

You can fly into Newark and take the AirTrain for $15 (30-45 mins)

WestJet is running a seat sale today, for travel on tuesdays, wednesdays, or thursdays, from next week thru the end of september-ish.

Calgary to Tokyo $627 CAD altogether with United.

The deal is from the first week in Sept to the middle of Dec, with all the departure dates being during the week.

Just wondering, why do flight prices fluctuate daily? I saw flights to Chicago on Wednesday-Friday for $450 and now the cheapest I can find is $700.

I believe they change based on availability. The fewer seats available the higher the price. Until the last day or two, when they sometimes drop to get them filled.

This is true but I sometimes even check flights the day off the flight and they're not cheap.
