Depends if they get a deal done with Bartell, who is still in N.O.. but not likely, the Saints don't have a 2nd rounder.

Bullet of an arm? I don't think so. The Patriots crafter their offense around him this past year and took away the deep game from him because he wasn't making the throws.

Bly sucked so much because he wasn't close to being as good as he thought he was. He had a ton of talent but played as though he was a cross between Woodson, Sanders, Blount and God. He took way too many risks and seemed to never be willing to make the smart play. At least that was the case watching him for a couple of years in Detroit.
|
Yes, he was. Lynch was never a fast guy in the first place. That's why he was a safety.
Bly certainly didn't come close to living up to his reputation ever in Denver. Have to think that if Darrent Williams doesn't get killed he never comes here. Strange how things happen. I've seen Bailey save his ass on numerous occasions. That guy is incredible.

Peppers is done with the Panthers. He will not sign with them, the cap hits for the first year is identicle plus peppers long term would cost significantly more than Cassel. Delhomme cant hack it to old to injured they need a new face. not to many teams can take on Peppers salary which limits Carolina. They have a good core and Delhome will never win them the championship they need a QB

If somebody offers the Eagles a second for Sheppard then Andy will personally drive him to the airport.

I didnt say anything about deep throws i said he has a bullet of an arm meaning fast and accurate the guy throws really really hard and can squeeze it in tight spaces

The underneath or slant route to Welker is probably the easiest throw and decision in the NFL.

Those aren't rare qualities in NFL QB's.

True. Welker is an amazing wr but did you know his name before 2007? people are so quick to blame the system for success of patriots players i find it really commical.. i guess we will see... you cant fake the body build the kid has and we are talking about a guy with one season under his belt.

He played against a terrible schedule, on a team that had to baby down the offense to shelter him, had a decent veteran defense, great coaching staff (willing to cheat to help him) and the top receiver in the game and still couldn't lead his team to the play-offs.
This now makes him a top ten QB in the league?
Perhaps he should do it more than in one season to be considered a top guy or be able to run the whole offense before he is labeled top ten and traded for a top 3 pick.

Thats fine, but Cassel will never win them a championship either and no matter how bad you (or they) think that Delhomme is that doesn't mean that they should overpay for Cassel.
Plenty of other guys out there that they could get cheaper to do just as much.

True. But a good quality to have.. also his mobility is a really attractive quality he was amongst the leaders for rushing yards by a QB. Lots of nice qualities that he has it wasnt all his recievers. 11-5 record in essentially your rookie year is pretty darn impressive

Contrary to published reports, free agent safety Brian Dawkins does not currently have a deal with the Broncos.

If you watched the pats last year there defence was painful at times. Massive injuries to Harrison, Thomas, Bruschi, Seymour, and Warren would obviously show that but still it was rough at times. Your comment about playoffs isnt really fair as they are only the second team in history to miss with an 11-5 record...
I also dont agree he is a top 10 QB... yet.
Other bold point... Larry Fitzgerald says hi
As far as overpaying for Cassel i agree hes not worth the 15 million but you can sign him long term to around 7,8,9 million it looks much better and hes young so you can build around him... im thinkin it would take about 5 years 44 million 21 guaranteed

Dawkins = awesomeness for Broncos.
Don't really dig the RB moves though. I really think that the Broncos should finally draft a potential superstar RB this year or next year. The broncos have been lacking a franchise running back for so long and our running game is being limited to it's potential if we had one. I don't expect one of the two new RBs to fill that role, and would be more so place holders. So to have them both for four years I don't really favour.
Hopefully they can colour me impress and make the flavour of the deal taste a bit better.

Anybody think Warner gets out of Arizona? I could see a couple of teams making a move for him.
NYJ, Dallas, Jacksonville and Minnesota. Teams that are close enough they might be able to talk him into a move. No idea about cap situations. I'll bet he'd welcome the chance to play in Minnesota which is the team that dominates with fans in his home state.

I think he will if he gets that $14-16M he's looking for and the team is close to being a contender.
