No one took their claims seriously. If they had tried to pull a quick one and plant the evidence, it would have blown up in their faces even worse than it did. It would have created an even greater chasm between the United States and the rest of the world, likely killing what coalition the Bushies could pull together using borrowed money from China. I'm sure it was in Georgie's simple mind, but I'm sure President Cheney hit Judy over the head with a bat and put the puppet straight on how it would play out. The Russians were already suspect of the American's actions and Cheney probably didn't want to take the chance of pushing the Franco-Greman-Russian leaning countries even further away from the center. But hey, that's just analyzing it geo-politically. I'm sure even "military intelligence" could figure that one out.

Thanks for proving my point.

Thanks for being a Bushie.

Oooops, you claim you're not, but you just happen to defend everything they do. Interesting contradiction!

Haha. Funny thing is, I have a view on the war that you will never understand.

If the government was as organized and effective in somehow "faking" a large portion of 9/11 -with prior knowledge of the event therefore facilitating planning in terms of months ahead of planting rims and such inside a renovated wing...and then engineering the whole thing with a disappearing plane, passengers, replacing it with another plane/missile, faking a crash, faking wreckage, etc. during a media blitz and camera frenzy in middle of the nation's capitol with thousands of people around and still keeping a wraps on it as far as government leaks...

Why can't a covert ops team sworn to secrecy bury some foolproof WMD evidence in the middle of night in the middle of miles and miles of empty desert while there is a war going on? It sure is easier than burying nearly foolproof evidence of a non-plane hitting the most important public building in the nation's capitol in broad daylight.

Your argument that "they were afraid" of it being exposed is illogical given what that the guys behind the 9/11 conspiracy were alledgely daring enough to try to pull off if the whole thing were true which it is not. Who's even going to say otherwise what the US found, they just have to send some soldiers there, proclaim finding weapons, then classify and hide everything over again. There, mission accomplished - and basically saves the United States the entire PR, global, and domestic support problem they've had for the 4 years. If they could have faked 9/11, planting fake evidence in Iraq would have been a piece of cake and they could have said: "look Saddam was about to nuke so and so country and there - critism evaporates, the U.S. gets international support, the entire problem goes away.

But no, the whole conspiracy theory is predicated on falsehoods and illogical assumptions that the government is organized enough to do these sorts of things but clearly it is not. Everything we've seen since 9/11 shows the government is simply a reactionary force that is a total mess when something big happens (Katrina as well).

Getting the Pentagon hit and planting evidence achieves what? Sympathy for the government? It's an awful lot of work for almost zero gain. The U.S. had the support of it's citizens and sympathy of the world just for New York. If they were going to fake the Pentagon, they might as well have said the hijackers on the Pentagon flight all had Iraqi connections and therefore, faking a link to Saddam in the first place. Planting irrefutable evidence in Iraq would have been easier than copying somebody's homework and would have solved all of the neocon's problems. If this cabal of black operatives and organizations behind this conspiracy actually exists - they must be utterly utterly flaccid and stupid.

Conpiracy theories all do one thing - find the most complicated, uneccessary, and improbable connection of events to argue for a completely irrational and unintelligent rationale behind events. Ockham's Razor again...
