Everyone is aging on this team. Kulak, Nuge, Nurse, Ekholm, Hyman, will all likely regress, possibly a steep drop off. This is evidence based for most players in their 30s.
Emberson will be a bright spot along Nurse.
Kulak-Stecher/Dermott pairing will be liability.
Oilers power play has regressed since their historic season 2 years ago. It will continue to recess. It will still be elite, but it won't be enough to lean on for wins.

Even going back to last year the Flames were not good at defending their own blue line against the rush. We really saw that in the first period of this game, but it seemed to get better in period two.
I was surprised how many times the Canucks forwards got behind our defense.
Those should be workable with practice and as the defense pairings get used to playing together.
I gotta say I was really impressed by the Canuck crowd at that game. Good energy in that building, not one thing thrown at me, no over the top crap talking, even a few fist bumps and "good game" at the end walking out.
I've seen a lot worse from Flames fans against opposing fans at the Dome..
And I thoroughly, thoroughly, enjoyed drinking the tears at the end.

Glad you had a good experience but in general, Canucks fans are notoriously classless. Even Oilers fans, who are completely delusional and have their own problems and I’m filled with vitriol towards them, don’t stoop to the level of mean spirited poor sportsmanship that Canucks fans historically do. Good fan bases have a deep love for the game that supersedes team and player rivalry during important human moments. Canucks fans have shown time and again that they don’t give a #### - the most recent example being chanting JT Miller’s name after knocking someone unconscious after a cheap hit, while the player is still on the ice.
