The attractive football thing is BS and even if true who cares about attractive football and winning nothing.

We had our first shot at a Cup game how did that go? Business as usual.

Look at our squad as maybe 3 guys that into the top clubs- Son, Maddison Romero. We are further away from competing than we were under Poch, have fans that celebrate bringing in mediocre talent and d-rate manager.

I know rivals will say your Spurs know your place and be happy to win nothing, compete for nothing and play so-called goid football but that is BS. The only reason a club of our size, location, fanbase, facilities cannot compete with the top teams is ownership. I will not sit by and happily accept mediocrity because of some infantile notion of “good football.”

Well it's four games into a new era so it's pretty hard to say with any certainty what Spurs end up at by seasons end, but trying to deny they've looked good so far is odd. Doesn't mean they are dethroning City or anything, but considering how terrible they were to watch with the terrorism trifecta of Mourinho-Nuno-Conte, it surely must be nice to see positive play and trying to control the game instead of getting outplayed by relegation teams and just winning with playing on the counter and unsustainable comebacks?

Yeah. I dont see Henderson ever being selected again. He's done.

Or he should be at least.

I love Hendo but...come on. He's well on the wrong side of 30 and playing in Saudi. That selection would be absolutely insane.

oh sweet summer child ... he has already been selected. And the manager has defended that decision with his usual assertiveness, too.

Oh FFS Southgate....

Okay...okay. For right now...thats not a problem...necessarily? They're qualifying matches?

But..."There are lots of different ownership models in England" is a concerning comment.

"I dont know why a player would receive an adverse reaction because of where he plays his football."

Really? Really Gareth? Care to expand? Because history seems to dictate otherwise....

His hesitancy to answer questions...you can almost see the Saudis trying to stay off camera whilst shoving cash in his pocket.

They've bought England's National Team.

The last part is complete BS, they weren’t getting outplayed by relegation teams. The football is ok at best right now. Funny that the football that Jose and Conte played everywhere was good enough for multiple titles/trophies but at Spurs somehow they were the problem.

Yes it is four games but what about the team, club or manager has shown that anything has changed or that will lead to success in the future? They have no young talent to help compete with the top 6 going forward, just had an awful transfer window showing nothing has changed, have very little talent in the senior squad sbd hire a dud manager who’s biggest accomplishment matched what Brenton did at Celtic. The club is moving further behind the top 6 clubs not matching them and certainly not closing the gap.

I ignore it at this point, hes either trolling or the absolute worst type of fan. He should just switch to being a city fan if all he cares about is trophies

Ange had a quote earlier in the off season, where he said playing attractive football should be a priority and for him it has been wherever he has managed because the fans that follow the club shouldnt have to sit through 90 mins of terror football every weekend, they should look forward to the games.

If you cant enjoy the start they've had, results and playing style, than I dont know why you would even be a fan

The further away than under poch is just hilarious, under poch at his peak at this point yes, but the end of the poch era started the season prior, not just at the cl final or when he got fired, look at the record in the league under his last 10 months

I don’t get the depth of negativity that Spurs (the poster) is displaying. Postecoglou is in no way whatsoever a D rate manager. As for the League Cup, no one gives a crap about that unless they suddenly find their team in the semi final where at that point, winning it becomes a ‘nice to have’ at best.

I was at the Arsenal v Brighton game when we got knocked out - no one cared, we just went to the bar had a few drinks.

As for the realistic targets, if you’re wanting to win something, the best you can hope for is the FA Cup - and that is pretty much the case for fans of any teams not called Man City. It’s the way it is - it sucks.

But if you can’t enjoy your team winning and you post as miserably as you’re doing after a 5-1 win, then I don’t know what to say. If you think this sucks, when the Flames get going in October, please stay away from sharp objects and dangerous substances.

And what do you mean they have no good young talent? Udogie looks great. Sarr and Bissouma are running the midfield (if you want to ignore Maddison and Bentancur), and you might have noticed we signed Brennan Johnson yesterday.

I don't know how old Van de Ven is off hand, but he's looked good so far.

I'm under no illusions that tough times will come this season, and they always do. I'm not super pumped about the window because I think there are some gaping holes that were not addressed and that's on Levy. But to start the league playing progressive, entertaining football and not leaking goals like we did last year is just a welcome change.

Udogie has looked fine not great, Sarr meh I think he could be good in the future but near the level that the top clubs have. Bissouma is 27 not sure that gets considered young.

VdV another decent defender but nowhere near the top level and showing no signs he will get there.

Chelsea getting the fee they got for Havertz might be the best transfer in recent history, he is terrible.

As I always think in these situations, if it's not a penalty (and it's not) then it has to be a card for the dive surely?

Even if it wasn’t a dive, he should have got a card for appealing.
