Yeah it's not a Flames thing...taking a 4 min penalty down by only two is ridiculously stupid. If a Flames player did that for us we would call it out. Heck they had a break away right after...could have been one goal.

Great game. This match-up is tough for the Panthers. Vegas is both skilled and hard-nosed. Some beautiful goals scored and an intense competition to start the series.

I hope this is a long series, because it has the makings of a really fun finals.

Yeah, I think the takes in here were fair on Chucky and Bennett... There was time left but because of their antics, they sealed the loss... I mean, that one Panther got a scoring chance immediately after Bennett got booted

Only watched bits and pieces of the game but it felt like Vegas was the better team (not sure what fancy stats say), controlled the play. Panthers seemed to have trouble connecting on passes, seemed to be chasing the puck a lot. Could be the long break, I suspect panthers will be better in game 2 but right now it feels like Vegas will likely win the series.

Florida was trying to start that after the whistle stuff all game long. Yes, the refs ignored some calls against Las Vegas but maybe as a consequence of that.

It was a really good game actually. But, I hope it goes four straight with games just like that. I'm sick of hearing Cinderella Florida, Tkachuk for Conn Smythe, hanging out with Shaq, etc. Florida can suck it.

This is the typical Cinderella run arc. Goalie plays out of his mind and steals multiple series. Get to the finals and returns to normal. Cinderella team gets swept. Similar to what happened on the Panthers first Stanley Cup run.

It's going to be interesting to see how much Chucky and Bennett have progressed with the after the whistle stuff that goes too far. They struggled with it as Flames and so far after Game 1, the old, bad habits came back out quickly, which is very surprising.

Vegas has too many guys that are determined to win to fall for Florida's antics. You're not rattling a guy like Stone.

It works on teams led by guys like Matthews though.

I just hope if Vegas wins the league finally makes it so your lineup has to be cap compliant in the playoffs. I remember Freidman said at the start of the playoffs when Stone was activated that a lot of other teams were sick of it. There is no denying looking at the recent past that it is giving teams an unfair advantage.

I doubt many GMs would actually push for it considering they have all handcuffed themselves so bad

Oilers cried about it but they made some shady moves in the offseason
