I love it! I love the plainness of it, simple and not over doing it. And yeah, I agree with those that too bad we can't buy it. If they can put it on a T-shirt or hat, I would buy one, especially it's designed by local artist.

I like them. Not sure what the floral design and birds have to do with Pride, but Seattle had a similar concept, so maybe I don't understand the symbolism there.
My personal favourite so far this season is New Jersey's, but I have always liked simple designs.
Edit: Nevermind, I think I was looking at a previous year's design for the Devils. Their design this year is pretty complex actually.

I think symbolic gestures that are voluntary are much more powerful.
And thanks to idiots like Provorov, Reimer & the Stall Bros., we do indeed know that this gesture is voluntary and therefore much more powerful when all the Flames players wear these tomorrow night.

So as not to bump an old thread, I will post this article from The Line here.
Basically - the NHL could and should fine those players who are not taking part in any program that is meant to help grow the game - with Pride nights at the top of the list.
Yes, $5,000 fine is a joke, but at least the NHL could say "we are doing the maximum." I don't think the NHL can suspend a player for not participating.

There may be symbolism that I'm missing too, but I think it's pretty cool to mix symbols of Alberta and Calgary together with the colours for LGBTQ+ pride. It comes across as communicating pride in the city and province as unified with the ideals of pride month, which is a great message and makes it bigger than just the team or the organization.

Oh yeah, I forgot that the chickadee is Calgary's official bird. I was on team magpie.

These look fantastic! They seem to be missing the trans flag colors though. Haven't seen too many other NHL team jerseys but the ones I have seem, I thought, did have the trans flag colors.
I suppose the wild rose could represent pink and that bird represent the blue.

Maybe if those organizations forced players to be inclusive or be scratched for a game it would move from a symbolic gesture to an actual welcoming of the LGBTQ+ community.
