Markstrom has to go. He sucks. His fragility was on display in the series vs the oilers and carried into this season.

If the flames do not make the playoffs, Brad is gone. All the free agent signing which have been horrific will be on him. Someone else will get to clean up this mess and it is a horrible mess.

2 bad years at almost $5M to eat, but then it’s only a $2M hit for a few more years. It’s worth considering. He’s 100% cooked.

Goals saved above expected. It’s kind of like expected goals but for goalies. Amongst goalies that have played at least 20 games, Jakob Markstrom is 34th in the NHL. Dan Vladar is 40th. Based on this metric, I’d say that the goaltending has just been plain bad.

Disagree. While there are a couple of other key pieces that have not performed, goaltending has been the single biggest contributor to their current record in the standings.
