He doesn’t even need a shower after the game. Can go straight from his pads to his suit and tie.

Well he has been beaten 3 times and none of them were even counted as shots

Perimeter shots. Tampa will happily give those up all night.

The effort isn’t bad tonight, but they just aren’t generating any quality.

Sutter is absolutely mind EFing this group. Plugs in elevated roles. Even/fair icetime like it’s rec hockey ffs.

Chance counts include posts and blocked shots. The Flames are still stuck at three high-danger chances through 40 minutes. That's nothing.

Or - and here me out because this is admittedly a little radical - we watch the game and decide for ourselves

I think they are playing pretty good. Solid 2 road periods, at least 2 posts...keep at it.

None of those 17 saves stands out as remarkable.
We’ve had a lot of zone time, but we’ve done next to nothing with it.

I have never doubted Sutter as coach until now.
And frankly that comment about Huberdeau was unprofessional and unnecessary.
I heard it live on the radio and was shocked.

Here's an example that is still fresh in everyone's heads....
Kopitar's goal (the 4th one). The general consensus was that Markstrom had no chance - perfect shot, post and in.
That shot was not a high danger chance.
High danger chances are great, but they are NOT the only dangerous chances.
Stats aren't everything.

It’s not going to improve if he continues wanting to play fourth liners with stars. Just accept the energy line is that and play them 7-8 hard minutes and then give the top 9 the other 52.

Not inch offside goals though right
I never said they are on fire or anything I was commenting on the
"No pushback"
And
"Playing out the season"
Comments...you are kinda taking me out of context

You’re not doing yourself any favours when Lewis, Lucic, and Ritchie are playing more than Kadri, Mangiapane, Coleman, Toffoli, and Lindholm
Inexcusable usage from Sutter.
Lewis directly responsible for the goal against and gets more ice time than usual tonight

Ultimately the stats are just a piece ... and from my eye, the Flames have been run over tonight by a team very content to play their style of game. For all the talk about good road periods, the Lightning have been playing perfect home periods. The Flames have yet to look dangerous beyond short spurts and TB is taking full advantage.
Awful game for CGY but not likely to be indicative of any future trends. Try to get it back in the third but at this rate it's a game you burn the tape on.
