This is a bit extreme.
Nobody has come out and made fun of him or “trolled” him because of his disability, that’s a hot take.

It’s okay for people to ask questions when some of the details don’t line up and or the time line doesn’t make sense.

Let’s not turn this into something this isn’t, there’s no witch hunt out.

Who are you anyways? What is your involvement or association with FG?

CP has been burned by scammers before, so IMO a little healthy skepticism is warranted.

Especially since once that skepticism was raised there was only more sketchy behavior including deleting old posts, evasive answers on the current status of the project, vague future predictions of completion, and a declaration of a sabbatical from CP until the project is complete.

This could all have been easily resolved by an admission of failure to complete the project and a refunding of the gofundme. The continued evasive and sketchy behavior doesn't sit right with me, and I think a lot of other posters.

Well I can tell you I'm not the type to threaten legal and police action because my potential wrongdoing have been exposed.

Genuine GoFundMe request or not, flamesgimp's actions have been extremely suspicious, editing posts then announcing he's leaving the forum. Those aren't the actions of a man who is faced with what should be easily answered questions.

Still hold out hope this is all real, but I would be shocked if it is.

Stop intimating that the only reason for anyone posting in this thread asking questions is because FG has MD. That's crap. There hasn't been one iota of that occurring. I've followed the thread from the hop, just didn't have any spare cash to donate to this, so I haven't commented, but I thought it was a cool idea. But, I could see, from the beginning, where there were going to be potential issues.

I'm a mom to a disabled adult, I'm her main carer. Being disabled is a full-time job, and not something not always fully understood by able-bodied folks. Medical conditions/chronic illnesses take a lot of managing and because their bodies decide to freak out whenever the hell they want, often without a lot of warning, it can change plans in an instant. We've had to change plans on the fly or scrap them altogether, due to my daughter's disabilities. I hate this phrase, but it is what it is, we're used to it after almost 12 years, and we make adjustments and carry on.

Knowing all that, from that perspective, and having a small idea of what FG deals with, which is definitely greater than what my daughter deals with, I know that he's not making excuses when it comes to having to deal with health issues and how much that can affect plans and timelines - which is where I could foresee there being issues.

Because of what *our daughter/we* deal with, I'm also not the type to sit idly by and keep my mouth shut if I notice someone being an ableist jerk - and I haven't seen that in this thread, until now.

What I have seen is you making out like someone with a disability should never be questioned about their actions and behavior. This is a form of ableism - you've infantilized someone because they have a disability, made out like disabled folks are innocents who are untouchables. That's crap and you need to stop it. It doesn't matter if someone has a disability, if they're problematic, they're problematic. If they're acting like an ass, they absolutely need to be called on it. I'm not saying FG is problematic or acting like an ass - I'm speaking generally here, in terms of disabled folks.

I don't know if FG is yanking anyone's chain with this. Only he knows if that is true. He's a grown adult, he can deal with it, or not deal with it and I'll guess we'll find out which way that pans out, won't we? TBH, I don't really care how it turns out.

Well said Minnie. Flames_Gimp has held his own previously in plenty of conversations over the years. I’d be tempted to say he’s even trolled people or at least brought a big attitude on more than one occasion. I have no idea what medical issues he’s dealing with, but I know he doesn’t need some drive by troll infantilising him like he can’t handle his #### because of MD.

People are asking for clarity. Seems simple. Nobody has yet to bring attitude to the level of which I’ve seen from Flames_Gimp before (remembering gun threads, the hot tub thread, etc.) so there’s nothing offside here. Yet people are getting rude nobodies scolding them and “I know but can’t tell” mystery stuff.

If people are asking for clarity, it feels like it makes sense for SOMEONE in the know to offer them clarity.
