I believe that game was my very first Stampeders game live! I seem to remember a Dave Sapunjis touchdown with him streaking down the west sidelines after a long bomb. I also got a "Big Daddy" Marvin Pope glossy card!

The Edmonton Elks have returned to the field and their Thursday injury report reveals some of the players who contracted COVID-19 during the team’s outbreak last week.
According to the report, six players did not practice Thursday due to being in protocol. That list includes Canadian receiver Tevaun Smith, defensive back Aaron Grymes, receiver Armanti Edwards, defensive back Albert Smalls, and linebackers Keishawn Beirria and Brandon Pittman.
Also limited in practice as they return from COVID protocol were receivers Derel Walker and Shai Ross, defensive back Jonathan Rose, and defensive linemen Christian Rector, Reggie Howard and Kwaku Boateng.

Thats hilarious and quite the punishment but it likely won't matter as they'll be eliminated from the playoffs by then.

Way to go CFL, even Bishop Sycamore wouldn't play three games in seven days.
Hurts the Argos as well as they play on November 12 and then have to play again on the 16th. Pathetic.

Yeah, that's really bad, if I'm Toronto, I grieve this as it should be a 1-0 win for the Argos for the game that was postponed.

That's really embarrassing for the CFL. Come out with such a stringent COVID protocol and then put the safety of the players at risk to make up the game.
Why did they even threaten to cancel games if they weren't going to follow thru?
I guess maybe the players chose to play instead of miss a game check and the CFL got input from the teams.

That's what should happen but I understand why they would try to shoehorn it in. The league would lose the TSN broadcast money and the Argos would lose out on the home game attendance income. This isn't a big league and losing games has a big impact on the bottom line. I'm just glad this doesn't affect the Stamps in any negative way.

^^ Maybe in the short term. But it just shows how little the CFL cares about its players (and player safety).
This is a supposed to be a professional football league, and they're expecting them to suit up with only two days rest (plus travel) not once, but twice? in a row?
There is going to be some BAAAD football and hopefully not too many injuries.

You don't have to tell me as IMO the CFL has never cared about it's players or player safety.

They don't. I can think of a couple guys of the top of my head that went on to have very long careers, long after ending multiple other careers with dirty plays.

I'm still trying to figure out why they released Arbuckle to sign Nichols. I just don't understand releasing a younger up and coming QB for a journeyman QB on the decline. Nichols has been horrible and looks like a QB that should ponder retirement.
