I love these Tim Hortons commercials.

Hey we admit our breakfast sandwiches tasted like #### before, but now they’re awesome!! Come on in!

Or the dark roast one is even better. Yes we admit we sold you disgusting swill knowingly and charged you full price. But now it’s good. Trust us.

Yea the whole system looks broken again:
no breakout at all just errant passes into the skates.
No forcheck
No success bringing the puck into the zone, different guys trying to do it by themselves.
No sharp transition from the D

This all seems systematic to me, like they’re not playing to their strengths or we just have no strengths I don’t know but nothing like last game which was 1 game out of the last 5-6 we looked like a team.

Don’t know what to think but this is ugly hockey.

That was such a great passing play between Benny, Mony, Benny, and Johnny.

...and then ya know, 6’7” vs. 2’3”

Yeah, I'd take Hoglander on this team. Good speed and skill.

CGY needs some emotion in their game. It's very slow. Lots of stationary stuff. Get moving with the feet and move the puck quick.

Canucks are clearly up for this game. Flames need to raise their energy level and stop letting Vancouver hang around.

Monahan did good work to get the puck and chip it ahead to Bennett, who skated the other way. Weird.

They are generating chances when they actually try to make a play at the Canucks blue line.

Instead they keep dumping the puck in and letting Canucks mobile d just beat them to the puck.

Tkachuk, to me, is easily the most disappointing Flame so far this year.

The problem with putting a weak effort in the first game of the series is that you allow the Canucks skilled forwards to build some confidence playing that much with the puck rather than making life hard, making them defend and keeping their spirits low.

Like.... you're just making the rest of the series tougher than it needs to be.

Knocking them down right off the bat on the other hand probably beats them into submission.
