I'd wager pretty much anything I own on the word "horseshoes" coming up in the last section.
Which is delightfully ironic. This reminded me of pretty much every Oiler win since.... I dunno. A long time ago. Except the Flames didn't get their asses kicked as bad as the Oilers usually do.
What do we think about this? Just noticed this song that I guess is meant to be the new "in da dome" for a potential playoff run. Wasn't sure at first blush but got into it more as the song went on. Warmed to True Mamba aswell when you got the shot of him watching the 2004 team. I think it is indeed lit.
A good friend of mine, goes by Sodhivine, actually produced the track.

Nah. Not that good and very generic sounding. Not lit
What happened to danmajour that did the last 3 good ones?

Some people are failing to remember that some players are going to get up to speed faster than others. They’ve played 8 games if you include the warm up game. Ya Johnny isn’t playing great but some people are gonna look really stupid if he gets going. Really ####ing stupid. Flames only chance of winning this whole thing is if he starts producing so you don’t demote him but put your confidence in him. Glad most posters on here aren’t in coaching
No need to be hostile ... I’m sure all of the gadreau critics would love him to score and be proven wrong.

I want to repeat something I think I've said couple of times already:
It's nice to watch a Flames team that consistently shows up to play and doesn't panic. Sure they have good games and bad games and ups and downs within games, but that's just hockey. Dallas is a tough team to play, they have a lot of skill and fight in them.
This is the kind of playoff hockey I've been wanting to see from this team.
I do wonder whether this is more about Ward, or increased experience, or maybe it's because the team does better with less distractions. In any case I like it. It isn't pretty hockey, but it's good.
Flames seemed a little less physical on the forecheck. Obviously fatigue is a factor, but I wonder if they’ve realized Dallas has a more mobile d-core and therefore need to pick their spots more?
Game was also less chippy with scrums and the like. People were saying at the start of the series not to engage Benn and let him sleep. Perhaps Tkachuk’s absence yesterday was helpful in that regard? Seguin obviously had several good looks, but last change may have helped with getting better matchups. Also loved seeing Brodie drop Radulov behind the net in the third.
Rieder stepped up and looked prettty engaged. Also thought Ryan was more noticeable. Was not super impressed by Rinaldo but the compete was there. Quine had a quiet night, which isn’t a bad thing on your fourth line.

This is the correct answer. Do it 14 more times and they give us a big silver trophy at the end.

To me, Ward, Lucic, and Talbot are the biggest reasons we are seeing more success this year.
Start with strong and consistent goaltending, that's a major factor in team confidence.
Lucic has led the effort on ice and his upped his game for the playoffs. It's filtering out to the rest of the team.
Ward has good game plans and is a great communicator. Every time the team seems to be slipping, he says something or makes an adjustment to correct things. From game to game or even within the same game. He's doing his job pretty well overall.
Now...just have to find a way for Johnny and Monny to break through the tough Dallas defense. I knew it was going to be a tough matchup for them, but they can still find a way, especially on the power play.

I think the day off will do them some good. Rest up and then come out banging again next game. It's gonna wear that crazy good D core down, and then when that happens, they start feasting.
IMO. That's what the Blues did last year. And it took them all 7 games to do it.
