Lightning up 2-1 half-way through the second period.

Another series wrapped up as Tampa Bay wins 5-4 (OT) to move on to the second round of the playoffs. Take the series 4-1, though doesn't diminish what the blue jackets were able to achieve this year under Tortorella. Lost stars like Panarin, Bobrovsky, and Duchene. Multiple major injuries as well, with many man-games lost.

Point with the OT winner again. I wish Johnny had that type of clutch ability when games mattered.

I wish we'd drafted Point.

Hickey at least looked like a valid prospect.

Hunter Smith...

Stupid size...no way should the guy on the left be drafted as an overager with meh stats over the guy on the right.

Not only that, but he was a terrible fighter.

If you are going to draft a tough guy, make sure he can fight.

Of course that decision and draft had to be the one draft where Burke was likely driving the bus with how players were ranked. Treliving was in the role for like a month at that point, so probably didn't have too much say in the overall draft list strategy and order.

No doubt in my mind that the scouts that had Kucherov and Gaudreau ranked highly, likely had Point ranked highly that season, but that's the one draft where there was a clear emphasis put on size.

I wish the Stars broke down defensively like that. How do you get 2 players that open. That was the brain farts of all brain farts.
