That was a terrible 2nd last shift by Gio. Super rust.

I know it's a bit pedantic but I don't think of them as the first line. Tkachuk's line has been our best line all year outside of when Frolik was on it. Time to start calling them the second line.

Solid road period by the Flames. One thing I really like about this year's team is how much more physical and nasty they can be. That's one huge ingredient that they were missing last year.

I’d like to see Lindholm center Gaudreau & Monahan, miles better in his own end.

Canucks have scored again to make it 3-2 Ottawa. Hopefully the Sens can hang on and put them away in regulation.

Monahan belongs at Center, his office is the slot.

Fair enough, I've just always considered them that. Either way, they're not great defensively.

I'd like to see something even more crazy/ambitious in the middle six

Gaudreau - Lindholm - Ryan
Monahan - Bennett - Dube

Did he look at Ryan weird when Ryan called him "Mike"?

Not counting tonight,

The Monahan line has a combined 64 goals and 148 points.

The Backlund line has 50 goals and 109 points.

When Lindholm was centering Tkachuk it could be argued, I don't feel that way anymore.

Powerplay points can skew that.

Fair point and I never looked just 5 on 5, but Tkachuk has his fair share of PP points too.

Would love to see 13-23 split up, don't know if putting our best goal scorer on the wing with Bennett is the answer however.
