No, the retro red is still considered their alternate jersey, so they're only allowed to wear it a limited number of games. I thought the limit was 13 times, but it looks like they're wearing it 15 times.
They'll be wearing the retro white at home for the last home game before Christmas and Family Day.

Ooooh… wearing the white retros at home against the Habs? Go ahead and fire up the DeLorean and send me back to the Saddledome, circa 1989.

Strange choice for picking the Ducks game to wear the Heritage White jersey.

There should be more road games where we wear our retro white kit, but they probably don't want to bother bringing two sets of equipment on the trip.

All indications is that next year they move to full retro red and retro white for home and away.
I just want to know if they are putting the 40th anniversary patch on the heritage classic jersey, need to send the jersey in to get crested.

I am also waiting on that, as well as the best performer at the heritage classic before sending mine out.

The Flames have also announced their special events schedule for the season: https://www.nhl.com/flames/tickets/flames-theme-games
As part of the 40th Anniversary celebration, they will be honouring each of the previous 4 decades at different games throughout the season. First up is the 2010s on December 29; next is the 2000s on January 9; then the dark times of the 1990s on February 6; and finally the 1980s on March 12. What's odd is that of those 4 dates, the one where they're not scheduled to wear the retro jerseys is the one honouring the 1980s, the only decade where they wore the retros all the time.

This organization has a history of making baffling business decisions so I am not getting my hopes up.

Would be cool if they could wear the pedestal for the 90's game, even if it's just for warm up or something.

I wonder if the Flames would be able to wear both iterations of home and away retros for the playoffs last year, like they did with just the red this past year?
I know the Sharks used to wear their black jerseys throughout the playoffs, and Edmonton did their orange a few years back, but I've never seen a team go to both a home and away different from their regular season home and away. Could be a first!

I haven't bought a jersey in a few years but thinking I might get the heritage classic. What's the difference between the adidas jersey and the fanatics jersey? Is the adidas the real pro jersey like the players wear, and the fanatic the replica jersey that most fans would get? Or is there some other difference?

adidas - for all/the real thing w/ a fight strap (fans can apparently buy 'em too but game worns have better material)
Fanatics - for for fans only

This is partially true. There are three teirs of adidas jersey.
1.)Made in Canada, worn by players and not available for retail purchase besides Game worns.
2.)"Indo-Zeros" Adizero jerseys retail variant manufactured in Indonesia. Not to be confused for the real thing. Much better than reebok premiers, but still a night and a day difference from Made in Canada (MiC).
3.) Fanattic jerseys - fan only material and the lowest tier. The crest material and jersey material is more for comfort than an actual jersey.

That would be pretty cool.
Classic Retro whites = 1980s
Pedestals = 1990s
Ol' Blasty blacks = 2000s

So I take it most core fans wouldn't want the fanatics jersey? I'm looking on the NHL shop and they have the adidas and fanatic ones.
What would most fans on this site get?
The last jersey I got was a Reebok, but its not the pro, on ice jersey. However it still looks like an actual jersey, if that makes sense. I'd be ok with that equivalent.
