I think the deadline should be after FP3/before Qualy. Qualy is almost part of the race it is so important.

Yeah, I think Jayswin suggested it be before Qualifying since the racing can be rather predictable after that, so thats were we sort of ended up. Again, we're not playing for anything more than pride. But...I did think about getting this...

If there's enough interest I can certainly get something lined up...this one is $90 delivered to Calgary, so $6-7pp if everyone pays...or just people that pay can "win" it. Could probably find cheaper elsewhere, but I'm lazy.

Sure why not. I'll chip in what ever the equal share for willing partners is.
This thread will be my home for summer after all.

I'll buy it if it can be named the "GWE Cup of Excellence in F1 Race predicting..."
Seriously, I will pay a share.

Ok, thats 5 people already. So it'd be max $18pp.
"CalgaryPuck Formula 1 Fantasy Racing - CHAMPION" will be the inscription. I'll try and squeeze in the CP logo as well...I assume no trademark issues!
I'll get it lined up this week and then PM everyone that's entered teams with my email and amount to send...it wont be very much.

The trophy's a great idea but if anyone was interested a die cast formula one car would be a cool trophy. Me and my buddy meant to do it last season as we bet on every race, but never followed through.
You can get some really nice ones on amazon. Like I said trophy's great too.
There's a bunch like this

After looking up the sizing they're actually kind of small. This one at 1:24's a little better at 8" long, but for some reason I thought they were bigger. Nice little "I won my formula one pool" momento on the old desk, lol.

Got real lucky with some picks. The inter- team battles are going to intensify at the front. Vettel seems like he is finding his way again after having lost his mojo. Bottas seems like a man on a mission. I just wonder when Hamilton is going to find another gear and if Bottas can respond to that.
I am not convinced Ferrari can surpass Merc this season. I think Merc is toying with the rest of the field. Ricciardo with a dumb mistake.
Is this a trophy we can keep or are we going to pass it around every year? I am in for a share of the trophy as well

1/64 is Hot wheels size, 1/43 just a bit bigger. 1/24 is you typical model kit and 1/18 are the big ones. 1/24 is actually a nice size for displays etc because they have enough room for detail but don't overtake your display. 1/18 are nice to look at but they become the focal point of the shelf they are on.
