Against the Wings IIRC. Gauthier got hurt late in Vancouver series or early in Det series.

I'd like to see Hanafin/Andersson as the 1B pairing and Valimaki/Hamonic as the 1C pairing.

Did I get that right?

Watching the Arizona feed, and they love the Garland kid. He's getting the McJesus level of mentions.

Mangiapane needs to hit the gym. Been watching him pretty closely the last two games and he’s just getting manhandled out there. Spends most of his shifts with his butt stapled to the ice. He’s never going to stick up here until he toughens up a bit.

I like his recent story. But I suspect this is one of those short term love affairs. The Legend of Garland.

So great to see Peters teaching on the bench. He is such a breath of fresh air compared to the crappy coaches we have had to endure.

Just got home and turned on the game. Judging by the score, I assume the boys have played well tonight? Looks like Smith hasn't faced a lot of shots so far.

Man, it is refreshing to see our head coach actually talking to his players, coaching them up during a game. Compare that to last year when Gully didn’t say boo to his players during a game.

Nice save, Smith. Flames suck this period.

Smith has actually made some big saves. Flames have made some really bad plays in their own zone but the offense is still doing their thing

I have to watch the Phoenix feed but the commentators are super good and have complimented the flames a lot

Always doing something or saying something on the bench. Not the 3 hours of being zoned out lookong into space like we had the last 2 years

Agree. He loses more board battles than he wins, but often finds himself in the ice and behind the play after that.

He’s great in open ice, but hasn’t figure out how to battle with larger players quite yet.

Flames are playing at about 60-70 percent lately. Impressive when you can do that and pull out regular wins. The shooters having confidence is helping compensate for the lapses in effort. Will be interesting to watch them in the spring when they'll have the pressure and motivation to bring closer to 100% for the big games, hopefully with Neal and Valimaki up to speed.
