I honestly like his game far more than Kulaks.

I agree, he's looked like he can't really walk away from pressure like Valimaki has a couple times tonight, or Kylington has a couple times. Andersson gets wrapped by someone and then just dumps the puck off, could be a bad turnover

You’re right. A noticeable improvement.

Yeah I think Bennett is becoming expendable. Not worth trading him unless he is worth something tho and no clue if that's the case.

Love it. Or change Dube and Frolik. We have a ton of interchangeable parts, and a coach that will be willing to mix it up. It’s nice.

I don't think Stone needs to worry. Kulak more likely. Rasmus has been fine but he hasn't screamed for sure NHL ready yet. Some bad decisions and not great foot speed. A bottom pairing of Rasmus and Kulak would be quite soft. I doubt they would go with that unless there is an injury.

So far I have liked Lindholm on Johnny and Monahan's wing better than Neal.

Janko hasn't been playing with much jam, hopefully he can pick things up as the preseason carries on... perhaps some jet leg yet.

Same for 23, 13 and 18, just don't seem to have any magic. Possession and zone entries just not happening for that line

Andersson and Kulak both looking like serviceable NHLers. Valimaki and Kylington look one year out. Man...going to be some tough choices on the back-end over the next couple years.

Upfront, I think it would be interesting to see where people think players slot for line 3 and 4. The top six looks locked. I think Lazar could be done.

Saw a Ryan Pike tweet mentioning Flames playing 6 of their own first round picks in this game.

Very cool

I agree. Seemed a more natural fit. And I think hes a better puck retriever than Neal. Thats not really Neals game. Thats why him with Chucky and a center makes sense. Chucky gets those pucks.

Well, whatever the lines and defensive pairings are to start the season all I know is that I'm a big fan of the depth in the organization now. They're going to have injuries, so it's nice to know they'll have NHL caliber replacements waiting.

The one guy I don't understand is Lazar. I'm not a Lazar hater at all, in fact I didn't mind the trade to get a player who still had some potential. But watching this game I'm kind of blown away at his nonchalance. He should be out there busting his butt every shift, but I just don't see what he brings. He's not a terrible player but he's just..........there. He's kind of just out there killing time. It's too bad.

Doing this again because I completely forgot about Ryan.

Gaudreau-Monahan-Neal
Tkachuk-Backlund-Czarnik
Bennett-Jankowski-Lindholm
Frolik-Ryan-Dube

Giordano-Brodie
Hanifin-Hamonic
Kulak-Andersson

Really impresed by Valimaki's active stick which is always at the right spot.

Just gonna say this. I don't think a lot of flames fans actually know what we got in Elias Lindholm. You'll see soon. We should be excited.

Kylington and 'defensive issues' is bordering on meme territory at this point. People who still claim this is a problem for him clearly haven't watched him play lately.
