I think we severely over value Hamilton. He puts up elite points but he’s also an elite liability in his own end and has to take the cake for bone headed penalties at the worst times. If we could get Hanifin and Lindholm for him I’d take that all day.

That's what I'll be doing.
I can't see them doing anything other than watch. Maybe have a Bluetooth headset incase they need to make a call but otherwise settle in and relax like the rest of us.

How can one of the two players that form one of the top pairings in the league by almost very metric be an "elite liability" at any aspect of the game? You don't have to like Hamilton but there's no need to make things up either.

I would love for them to find a RW for the top line but I would be at peace if the team doesn't make any trades this weekend. I'm eager to see what this team can accomplish with a better head coach.

Personally, Hamilton brings in the most for what the team needs over all. I'm okay with this rumored trade with Carolina because it's shifting the balance towards the middle where we get a swiss army top six forward and a LHD younger more under control and likely cheaper option on D, where we have some healthy depth on the right side.

I just don't see the value from other players the Flames could trade that could bring in what the team needs.
