It was public in the sense that there were four rows at our station to collect our ballots with the next person about six feet behind me. It didn't help that the lady didn't know what to do when I returned the ballot to her so there was a delay and awkwardness as I showed her

and someone came to assist her.

Not a big deal at all but I'm just confused as to why it has to be a "public process and done out loud" as opposed to simply going into the booth and marking declined myself on the ballot and they then count it and place it in the envelope with the rest?

Libs with 8 seats so far, one of them is Wynne, if she wants to resign that will be a bit uncomfortable.

"extreme right wing"

These people have no perception of what actually exists in the world.

edit: holy ####, this guy is actually an RAF veteran, which makes this tweet even worse. This man really should know better.

So is Ford the corporate leader of choice? I mean I cannot fathom how the Ford family managed to stick something large up Torontos arse and then the province goes, hey we want some of that too!

Pretty terrible result for the NDP if this sticks, having the PC lead in popular votes and with a big majority is a nightmare for the NDP that are now looking like the Edmonton Oilers.

I think they would prefer him over Horwath who was going to jack up corporate taxation, and Wynne who was similar.

Mirrors Layton's results. The NDP peaks, Conservatives get a majority.

I was hoping for less seats for the Liberals, with 8 seats they maintain official party status.

If there was ever a party that needed an Albertaesque beatdown punishment it was the Ontario Liberals.

I honestly don't think anyone thought that Layton was going to win that election, he was just a feel good story in that election.

Jack Layton was a dick. That election basically summed up his career, a bit of a show with no actual effect, followed by a self congratulatory circle jerk.

I do find people saying "This is a disaster for Ontario" because Doug Ford got elected pretty funny. As if their province isn't already a disaster, and has been for 20 years, and always will be no matter who's in power.

It's just the Ford flavoured disaster this time.

I had a lot more respect for Angry Tom who at least had a realistic idea of what the NDP platform should have been and was stabbed in the back for being too right wing for their party.
