What a hit by Rasmus. Best part of the game!

Oilers looked like little boy scouts crapping their pants for the last few minutes.
Where were those puck hungry Flames earlier on? Oh well, game one I guess.
Terrible game by the 3-6 d-men though no doubt.

Foo, Janko and Valimaki were great. Mangiapane and Dube were ok. Rasmus was shaky, had both moments of brilliance and disaster. Ruzicka was quietly solid. Everyone else was unnoticeable to bad.

Boo. Flames crapped the bed for 5 minutes of the third and that's all she wrote. They were the better team for the most part for the rest of the game, but just complete crap in that five minutes.
Sad start to the tourney.

Been kind of a theme the last year. Outplay the likes of Edmonton and Anaheim for large portions of the game, but lose.

Flames dominated physically.
Looked to generate most of the chance, just couldn't score when needed.

I hate playing revisionist history woulda, coulda, shoulda.... But that was such an ugly and disappointing 2nd round. MacDonald over the highest ranked goalie in the draft in demkho. Then picking a plug in smith then the ducks nabbed Montour with the very next pick. Argh...

Pp awful, Pk awful, breakouts awful, transition awful
Hoping for a better performance in the later games
Foo and Valimaki were better than I thought they'd be. Phillips was good too.

Yeah, scary how similar that game was to some in the 16-17 season by the big club. Flames work harder overall, but the opposition more opportunistic.

Really pumped to see what Janko looks like at the main camp. Went from a huge question mark a few years ago to looking like a can't-miss now. What a transformation.
Credit to Feaster & co. for that one.

Not at all.
You can't write a better prospective progression than that.
