Malkin makes a delicious creamy milkshake, I don't know your issue here.

I don't remember the Pens ever really CONSTANTLY pumping up Crosby when he was breaking out into the league. Sure, when Crosby did something amazing, for sure - but this CONSTANT stream of accolades and teenage cheer leading stuff? Never.
It really is insufferable.

I love this board guys. Even when I have no one to watch games with, I come here and it is a great community with lots of good discussion and laughter. Especially for these OOT scoreboard games

Hrudey and Ball are professional and call the game with dignity - very hard to hear any favouritism in their calls... it's thick with the two in Edmonton, unbearable to listen to.
|
Exactly, does Hrudley sometimes use flattering words to describe Flames players? Yes, does he use the same words for other players? Yes. It's funny how Oilers fans yelp about him, but have these guys calling their games. Ball is arguably the best at what he does in my opinion and should work more nationally televised games. He's a treat to listen to compared to many others.

Part of it is we didnt have the same social media coverage as we do to today. Also, even though Pittsburgh does get good hockey support, it would have been crazier had he gone to a Canadian team

That was actually pretty funny.
"Crosby shoves Larsson into Talbot!!"
"Oh, looks like Crosby just moved out of the way and Larsson ran into him"
Don't remember the exact wording, pretty sure he added somehting about how amazing Talbot was to keep the puck out.

There maybe is one person that beats Quinn and remenda's unprofessionalism, Phil Esposito. But his calls are damn hilarious hahaha

That Penguins announcer is Mike Lange and his sayings are golden! "Donna needs a doughnut"!

He is incredibly talented, and he was really on tonight too.
Remenda is not talented, and can't control himself at all. I've watched a lot of hockey, thousands of hours worth, and I've never heard a broadcaster team lose themselves like that. To the point they don't even call the SO winning goal. Embarrassingly unprofessional display.
Hrudey gets into too. I rolled my eyes when he called Backlund's deke in Nashville the best he'd ever seen. But he shut up for a while after, realizing it was a bit much. Those two were unabashedly gushing worse than preteen fans in front of Bieber. They'd only feel so lucky to be able to wipe McDavids ass and never wash their hands again.

No. ALL of it is because Edmonton is the must insufferable fanbase on earth. McDavid playing in virtually any other market would be far more palatable.
I actually enjoy watching and listening to Oilers broadcasts for the sheer comedy. It is so, so hilariously bad.

He forced the second coming of Jesus to score on his own net! That's doing something!
You're right though, he wasn't all that dangerous today, neither was Crosby though. The pens team was lackluster and were lucky to win, RNH shoulda ended it in OT, what a save by Fleury on that!

haha not worried about that. Just dont wanna be hated around here.
That does look bad with Remenda not even saying anything on the winning goal, but even on the Pens broadcasst it was pretty quiet because there was controversy at first on if that puck was in.

Sure is - inducted in 2001. One of his other big phrases whenever a Penguin scored on the opposition goalie was " he beat him like a rented mule!"

All I know is if the Flames meet the Oilers in the playoffs, there better be a different way to watch the game than listen to Quinn and Remenda while doing so. Sickening homerism.

What is the hierarchy or Sportsnet national broadcasters?
Hughson seems to be one. Bob Cole will get the Montreal series...Then who?
