MSG? Maybe (though I'd beg to differ) if it was pre-renovations...but now that renovations are done, it is definitely not worse than the dome. Infinitely better. And Joe Louis is no longer an NHL rink next season.

If we are going to be factual about this, the Barclay Centre is the worst in the league.
Sightlines are fine, I'd like a better concourse, but for $800m I can live without getting a crappy watery beer in the intermission.

MSG seriously... have another drink Scorpy-poo!

I hate MSG... it's too dark and some of the sightlines are horrendous
I will admit that I haven't been there post-reno, I can't comment on how it is now so it's entirely possible that it's improved since. However, I still say that being the 'worst NHL arena' isn't a terrible distinction. It's like being the worst player in the Hockey Hall of Fame

Bahaha. MSG was just upgraded for $1billion and the feature which prompted my post was Detroit's new arena that opens this upcoming season.
So.....Barclays centre, sure, but they also just got the boot and it's rumoured that there is a new arena deal pretty soon.

This. I'm also 34 and am kind of insulted that is considered old. Calling the Dome middle aged is more appropriate.

I havent been there ever so I cant comment to much. But seeing it on TV and looking at the facilities it looks pretty nice...definitely a lot nicer than the Dome.
I 2 have a lot of memories of the dome, going back to the mid 80's. Love the place, but it hasnt aged well.

Well for starters it's undergone a renovation that costs more than any NHL hockey arena cost to even build from scratch so I'd say it's possible that it's improved since pre-renovation.

Eric Francis's shirt reminds me of old Ponderosa table cloths.

Not counting MSG which had the huge reno, after Joe Louis is gone, the dome is the oldest.
