Pathetic. They don't deserve to make the playoffs if they play like that against anyone, let alone Arizona. They had FIVE days off. Unacceptable.

Honestly the heavy rust after breaks and the lack of any coming back in games I chalk up entirely to Gulutzan.
You have to get your team ####ing engaged and ready to go after a couple of days off.

It's games like these that make you feel terrible while watching the game on TV, then I remind myself of two types of fans that I feel even worse for...
a) overseas fans that literally skip regular sleep and wake up just to have their heart broken by a basement dweller
b) Flames fans that paid money to be there. We turn off our TV's or focus on other things, they are sitting in $40+ seats and spent a night out to watch worse than nothing. Like if they paid to watch an empty sheet of ice on an off night, their night would be going better because we wouldn't lose two points.

to be fair pretty much every team is getting pounded after their break...3-7 soon to be 3-8 with ridiculously bad stats
trust me coaches don't want 5 days off with no practice even

Exactly. Not only were they days off, but the team couldn't even get on the ice for a formal practice. First game back is always tough and it's not like the Flames didn't come out buzzing. Enough of the people screaming about how this is a pathetic team who doesn't deserve anything because they're losing to Arizona and then doing cartwheels about how this team is the real deal because they beat Minny and Pittsburgh. It's an 82 game season, they're not all going to be winners. Hell, Arizona is playing some good hockey now anyways and they just beat the Pens. The sky isn't falling.

Wideman sucks so bad but they are stuck
as for the game its terrible but they are gonna finish 4-1 Vs. the Yotes...should they miss the playoffs its not going to be because of this one game...its pretty hard to go 5-0 against any one team
