Agreed. Visually, flames were not adaptive under Hartley; same system for all occasions. I can see how a young team ushered in to a new system would look like an AHL team. I just wish it wasn't the team I cheered for.

I don't think the entries are even the primary problem on PP. A PP needs quick thinking, sharp puck battles, and trust that their linemates are where they should be. These are things they are missing and the PP will never work without them.

Hartley was here for 4 seasons, they missed the playoffs for 3 of them.

He finished 25th in his first season with the Flames. He finished 27th in his 2nd season. Hartley only had one good year that proved to be unsustainable.

He didn't win the Adams in his first year with the Flames.
