Pretty hilarious write-up of just how silly Estrada made the Rangers look.

Just finished watching the game and that was incredible!
I love how the broadcasting team kept bring up Bautista's jaw early on then JoeyB hits a single to score a run. After that I didn't hear any more comments about the punch or his jaw. Then he cranks a 3-run homer. Guy is a playoff monster.
Estrada was the most dominant I've ever seen him.
Only concern is Travis. So sick of him lately.

As a non baseball fan, i dont get why the bat flip is so disrespectful to many when there's endzone dancing in football and celebratory hugs in hockey
i really hope in the elimination game, joey bats says he's kidding, bat flips, points to Odor and pizza tosses his pants in the air when he scores the series winning HR

It's because the Rangers are the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked. Especially Sam Dyson.

The issue with the bat flip is that it is seen as a form of hot dogging. You're "showing up" the pitcher.

I actually think from a hot dogging perspective, when Bautista hit that homer last week and ran to first admiring it while Skipping backward it was worse than the famous bat flip. They weren't playing a bunch of ass clowns like the Rangers though so we didn't hear anything about it.

Agreed. Loved the bat flip, cringed a little with the backwards trot
Still love Jose though, even with his arrogance. He's not hurting anyone
I've said it before, you take the good with the bad

meh, I am not a baseball guy - but to me given the magnitiude of the game and the overall emotions the bat flip was ok.
if it was a game in early june, then the flip is over the top.
haters gonna hate iguess....

"Bautista is now a .313/.431/.750 batter lifetime in the post-season with six home runs. His 1.181 playoff OPS is the third-highest in the history of baseball for any batter with 50 or more plate appearances. And the two guys he’s trailing—Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig—are pretty decent themselves."
I know we have to take cherry-picked stats with a grain of salt - but holy s***.

Downgrade in the bat but upgrade in the fielding. It's nice to have options and hopefully Travis will be back Sunday.

Is he hurt or are they just taking him out for a game because he's been brutal lately?
Why take Upton out? He made good contact yesterday.

That would be a reasonable response, heck, some might even call it sensible. But not if you're Sam Dyson, the world authority on 'Baseball's unwritten code'.
God I hope we sweep the Rangers.

He's hurt. Solid player, but a serious bandaid.
